Planting the Seden

My eyes were instantly caught by Andrew Seden sliding six tall columns of chips, albeit low denomination, across the felt. I knew it was the result of a big pot, but unsure as to whether he was handing them over, or waiting to see them double in size.

The board revealed the latter, Seden's {6-Hearts}

on a

board. As I pondered how and when the chips went in, Ben Vinson spared me some brain power by informing: "It went in on the turn."

Either way, Seden scooped in the pot, maintained his giant oak trees, and now has a total of 30,000 in chips.

De Wolfe on De Prowl

A player raised to 800 from the cutoff and got himself looked up by Roland de Wolfe in the big blind to see a {2-Clubs}

flop, which de Wolfe checked. Mr. Raiser now bet 1,200, but de Wolfe called that as well. Onwards.

Both players checked the {J-Diamonds}

turn, and come the {9-Clubs}

river, de Wolfe bet out 1,300. Mr. Raiser thought about it for a while, very subtly bouncing up and down in his seat in a slightly nervous manner, but passed.

De Wolfe is up to 15,000 or so.

Greco Takes One Down

Michael Grecho defended his 300 big blind by calling an additional 800 from a late position raise. He then led out for 2,000 on a {J-Diamonds}

flop. After a begrudging grimace and quick recount of his paltry stack, his opponent made the reluctant fold.

Greco on around 10,000.

The pace has slowed right down since dinner, and even the masseuses (or is that masseusi?) are complaining about a lack of muscle action.

Jack Effel earlier announced that we'd either be playing until 1am or 40 players. I initially assumed we'd be leaving early, but am increasingly leaning towards the former.

Rich Gets Richer

Oh dear, we are down one Cristiano Blanco, and if he wasn't before, Richard Kellett is now very, very definitely our chip leader on 55,000.

There was, presumably, some good action preflop, but we arrived as Kellett was leading out on the {A-Hearts}

flop. Blanco, himself one of our larger stacks, shoved -- and Kellett called in a snap, jumping out of his chair, overwhelmed with some sort of emotion.
