Phew for Hugh

With multiple lilac (500) chips in the middle, I raced over to Simon Trumper's table to see Hugh Kirton reaching an {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} against one other opponent in the cut-off. Without delay, Kirton announced all in, leaving his foe in somewhat of a quandy.

After a long pause and more facial expressions than Jim Carey, the recipient folded with a grimace and Kirton took the pot.

"Horrible flop for kings," probed Trumper, to which a nod was returned with an accompanying sigh of frustration. "We were chopping," added Kirton, "although I guess I had the backdoor flush draw if you had the two red kings."

Kirton, who finished fourth in the inaugural iPoker monthly event this month, is now on 7,500.
