Boeree Rings Notre Dame's Bell

Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

We picked up the action on the turn in a three-way pot. The board showed {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {8-Spades}, and Pierre Neuville led out into the pot with a bet of 3,500 from the big blind. Julien Notre Dame flatted next door, and the action came to Liv Boeree. She studied carefully, then stuck in a raise to 9,700. That folded Neuville out of the way, but Notre Dame put in the call to see the last card.

It was the {A-Spades}, and now Notre Dame led out with 10,000 of his own chips. Boeree took a good pause, then raised all in minus a few chips. Both she and Notre Dame went to the river with about 30,000 in front of them, and Notre Dame had 18,900 left behind after his bet. After some time, he committed the rest of his chips and turned up {K-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}. Boeree had that soundly beaten with {5-Clubs} {6-Clubs}, and her straight to the nine earns her the knockout.

She's still stacking up that pot, but it looks like she's going to be close to the century mark after that double-up-and-then-some.

Martins Adeniya - busto!
Martins Adeniya - busto!

Martins Adeniya raised to 2,200 and Salman Behbehani called on the button. The flop was {9-} {7-} {4-} and Adeniya bet 3,600 and Bebehani called. The turn was {4-Clubs} and Adeniya bet 6,600 and Behbehani called. The final card was the {3-} and Adeniya bet 11,000 from a 30,000 stack and Behbehani called. When the cards were turned over it was a case of air versus air.

Showdown

Behbehani{A-} {Q-}
Adeniya{J-} {10-}

With only 19,000 remaining in the Adeniya stack, he got it in against the button raise of Michael Pesek.

Showdown

Pesek{A-} {K-}
Adeniya{A-} {Q-}

And that was that!

Jake Cody - just received a very early Christmas present

Step up to the mantle Mohamed El Hamdi!

Somehow Mohamed El Hamdi managed to get all of his chips into the middle of the table, on a board of {Q-} {5-} {6-}, while holding {Q-} {8-}. His opponent was Jake Cody and he now has 160,000 courtesy of his {A-} {A-}. Cody has just added El Hamdi to his Christmas list.
