Ladouceur Busts Esfandiari

Antonio Esfandiari was all in with {A-}{5-} against Marc-Andre Ladouceur's {A-}{Q-}. Esfandiari failed to improve and was eliminated from Event #1.

Upon seeing Esfandiari exit and Ladouceur stacking up his chips, Greg Merson came over and thanked Ladouceur for busting Esfandiari. Ladouceur wondered why and Merson explained to him that he's also in the hunt with Merson for World Series of Poker Player of the Year. Esfandiari currently sites third with 513.10 points.

Clearly, Merson is in it to win it.

Cajelais Chips Up

From under the gun, Joe Kuether raised to 250. The hijack seat reraised to 700 and then action folded to Erik Cajelais in the small blind. He four-bet to 1,800 and play folded back to the hijack seat. That player made the call and the flop came down {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Cajelais checked and his opponent checked behind.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and paired the board. Cajelais fired 1,600 and his opponent quickly called to see the {2-Spades} land on the river. Cajelais fired 2,100 and his opponent gave it up.
