More for Volper

David Benyamine check-called a bet of 12,000 on the {Q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} board from Nikolay Volper. The river completed the board with the {4-Clubs}, and Benyamine checked again. He had 32,100 behind, and Volper fire the pot to put him all in. Benyamine tanked for a bit, but eventually folded, and Volper won the pot.

UEFA Champions League promotion from PartyPoker
UEFA Champions League promotion from PartyPoker

PartyPoker have launched a fantastic promotion that will see someone — hopefully you — walk away with two tickets to the Manchester United versus Braga UEFA Champions League match on October 23, 2012, plus expenses thrown in for good measure!

The lucky winner of this promotion will receive two tickets to the match, travel expenses and Legendary Treble Suite hospitality.

In order to have a chance at getting your hands on this fantastic prize, all you have to do is share a screenshot of a poker hand on the PokerNews Facebook Page. Really, it's that simple.

Play poker at a real-money table on PartyPoker during September 24 and October 7, 2012, and be prepared to take a screenshot of anything you think may be interesting. If you are involved in a hand that is a huge cooler, then take a screenshot of it. Have you just witnessed a horrible bad beat? Then share it with the world. The owner of the screenshot with the most likes will win the package.

All we ask is that the screen shot be at least 800x600 in resolution and that it has all of the core elements — username and hand number — recognizable, that the action the screenshot is portraying takes place between September 24 and October 7 and that the screenshot is genuine and has not been altered regarding its content. Only the player who played the hand in the screenshot is allowed to share the picture and therefore eligible for the prize.

PokerNews would like to wish you all the very best of luck and we cannot wait to see the images that you submit!

Frankenberger Takes Some From Negreanu

Andy Frankenberger raised to 1,600 under the gun and received calls from Daniel Negreanu and Mike "Timex" McDonald in the cutoff and small blind respectively. All three players proceeded to check the {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{K-Spades} flop, and then Frankenberger bet 2,100 after McDonald checked the {4-Clubs} turn. Only Negreanu made the call and then both players returned to checking on the {7-Spades} river.

"Boat," Frankenberger said and tabled {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

"Good enough," Negreanu responded and flashed {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Bubble Play

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

The bubble has been going on for quite some time now, and there seems to be no end in sight. We haven't seen an all in and a call in over five hands. Play on!

Eames Gets Some Life

John Eames had just lost a big pot against Nikolay Volper and was knocked down to just over ten big blinds. He just raised under the gun to 1,600 and three players called among which Volper in the big blind.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and it was checked to Eames who bet 6,200. The action was folded to Volper who put the Brit all in for an extra 3,100 chips.

Showdown:
John Eames: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Nikolay Volper: {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Spades}, {3-Clubs} and Eames stayed alive. The short stacks keep doubling up, but since the blinds are not going up everyone is just waiting patiently.

Eames Makes the Wrong Call

We caught the action on the river with 13,800 in the pot and a board reading {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Nikolay Volper had just bet 13,000 from the small blind and John Eames was considering what to do in the big. The Brit thought for a solid two minutes before making the call, committing more than half his remaining chips in the process, and then mucked when Volper wolled over {Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a full house.

Third Time's The Charm

Dan Smith had already doubled up two players on the stone cold bubble, and he was just all in for his own tournament life. On a {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop Raul Paez checked to Smith who bet 2,600. Paez check-raised pot, Smith moved all in.

After all the other hands were completed it was time for the showdown.

Showdown:
Raul Paez: {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Dan Smith: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

On the turn the {2-Clubs} hit, and Smith locked the hand down with a full house. The river was the {Q-Hearts}, and Smith doubled up.
