Lesage Doubles Through Dahl

On a {J-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop Jacob Dahl checked to Christophe Lesage who moved all in for 16,600. Dahl tanked for a bit before eventually deciding to make the call.

Showdown:
Jacob Dahl: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Christophe Lesage: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}

Lesages was in great shape, and after the turn ({6-Hearts}) and river ({5-Spades} he doubled up. Dahl, who started the day as the chip leader, is now one of the shorter stacks with just 20 big blinds.

Kalenius More Than Doubles While Sending Eames to the Rail

Petteri Kalenius opened from the cutoff for 2,000 and received a call from Nikolay Volper on the button. John Eames then three-bet to 9,000 from the small blind, Francisco Da Costa Santos four-bet pot, Kalenius called off for 16,700 total, Volper folded, and Eames committed for 14,000 total.

Showdown
Eames: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Kalenius: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Santos: {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

Kalenius was best with aces, and he only improved when the board ran out {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{J-Spades}. With that, he sent Eames home in 20th place and doubled through Santos.

Paez Busts Pickering

Jamie Pickering
Jamie Pickering

Three players each put in 4,000 preflop and watched the flop fall {K-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Raul Paez bet 9,000 from the small blind, Dan Smith folded, and Jamie Pickering moved all in for right around 17,000. Paez made the call and rolled over {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} for top set, which was ahead of Pickering's {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}. The {J-Clubs} turn and {Q-Clubs} river failed to complete Pickering's straight draw, and he became the 21st-place finisher.

David Benyamine is The Bubble Boy

David Benyamine
David Benyamine

David Benyamine was the second shortest stack in the room behind Daniel Negreanu when he raised under the gun to 3,500. The action was folded all the way around to Antoine Pacaud who called from the big blind.

The flop brought out {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Spades} and Pacaud checked. Benyamine moved all in for 6,500 and Pacaud called immediately.

Showdown:
David Benyamine: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Antoine Pacaud: {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

On the turn the {10-Spades} hit, and the river was the {Q-Clubs}. Benyamine was eliminated after starting the day second in chips. Just 21 players remain right now, and we expect to see heavy all in action in the next couple of orbits.

Frankenberger vs. Smith

On a flop of {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{4-Hearts}, two checks put action on Micah Smith and he fired out 3,800. Andy Frankenberger made the call, Mike McDonald got out of the way, and the dealer burned and turned the {2-Diamonds}. Frankenberger proceeded to check-call a big bet of 12,000, and the both players checked the {4-Spades} river.

Franknberger rolled over {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a rivered flush, and it was good as a disgusted Smith shook his head and sent his cards to the muck.

Negreanu Fighting Back

Action folded to a short-stacked Daniel Negreanu in the cutoff and he just limped. Mike "Timex" McDonald then limped from the small blind, Micah Smith checked his option from the big, and it was three-handed action to the {9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop.

Two checks put action on Negreanu, and he opted to move all in for 1,400 of his remaining 1,500. McDonald quickly got out of the way, and Smith made a very reluctant raise. Negreanu committed his last 100 and the cards were turned over.

Showdown
Negreanu: {K-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Smith: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}

Neither the {A-Diamonds} turn nor {3-Clubs} river helped Smith and Negreanu took down the pot with queens and nines.

Negreanu On The Edge

The edge of elimination that is. Daniel Negreanu just limped on the button and the small blind opted to fold. Mike McDonald raised pot to 3,500 and Negreanu tossed in the chips with just 2,500 left behind.

The flop ran out {4-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Spades}, and McDonald put his opponent all in. Negreanu checked his cards multiple times, but could not find what he was looking for.

"No pair. No draw. No chance," Negreanu finally said as he folded his cards. He is down to just 2,500 chips and looking for a quick double up.

One for the Australian

Raul Paez opened for 2,200 from the cutoff and Dan Smith and Jamie Pickering called from the small and big blinds respectively. All three players proceeded to check the {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, and then Pickering bet 6,000 after Smith had checked the {K-Spades} turn. It proved enough to take down the pot as both his opponents folded.
