Lukac Busts to Cormier

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The action was folded around to Emil Lukac in the cutoff who shoved all-in for 70,000. Maxim Lykov tank-folded on the button and Jeff Cormier made the call from the big blind.

Cormier: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Lukac: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Lukac was in trouble against the overpair of Cormier and the flop fell {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. The {k-Hearts} on the turn left Lukac drawing dead and he was sent to the rail. Cormier built his stack back up to over 250,000 after struggling out of the gate today.

James Akenhead
James Akenhead

Fahredin Mustafov just changed tables after building up one of the larger stacks in the room and was faced with an all-in of 62,500 from James Akenhead. Mustafov was in the big blind and made the call with {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}. Akenhead turned over {a-Hearts}{5-Spades} and was slightly ahead.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Mustafov got the chips ready to send Akenhead's way. The {j-Diamonds} on the turn gave him some hope, but the {10-Hearts} on the river secured the double up for Akenhead.
