Stefanelli Busts

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

The next table broke after the elimination of Bruno Stefanelli and there are only 39 players remaining.

Stefanelli got his stack in with the {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} on the flop {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} and his opponent called with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The {10-Spades} turn was a massive sweat for Stefanelli, but the {5-Clubs} river was of no help.

Aces Versus Aces Dilemma for Lisandro

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Jeff Lisandro
Jeff Lisandro

In a preflop raising war, the stacks of Alexander Lakhov and Jeff Lisandro went into the middle and Lakhov was the player at risk for 28,800 with both players turning over pocket aces.

Alexander Lakhov: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Jeff Lisandro: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The board of {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} improved Lakhov to a flush and Lisandro had around 15,000 left, busted soon after.

Capellini Folds Kings

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Felipe Ramos took a big portion of the stack of Barny Boatman and joined the big stacks.

Ottaviano Capellini is among the shorter stacks and just faced a limp by Marek Tatar and a raise to 5,000 by Fahredin Mustafov. Capellini called in the big blind and Tatar reraised the pot for 20,600. Mustafov quickly folded and Capellini mucked {K-Clubs}{K-Spades} face up. Tatar showed aces and the Italian nodded "that's what I feared."

Nearing the Money Bubble

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

With 44 players remaining and the top 33 spots guaranteed at least €800, the eliminations don't come at an enormous pace anymore. There are six tables remaining and Ethem Tosun was among those to bust just now.

Berube Busts Hughes

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Ryan Hughes
Ryan Hughes

As amazing as Ryan Hughes had started, it all came to a crashing end with Rene Berube getting the best of the 2017 WSOP Player of the Year race contender. Berube had already racked up a massive stack and Hughes was left with fewer than 20 big blinds before they headed to the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} turn.

More than 20,000 were in the middle and Berube bet as much, with Hughes in the think tank for his last 11,600. Hughes eventually called it off and they tabled their cards.

Ryan Hughes: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Rene Berube: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Hughes needed an ace or five to remain in contention, and the {2-Hearts} on the river was about as blank as it could get.

Haddadnia Nails the Flop

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

On the three-way flop of {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, Mohammadjavad Haddadnia bet 3,000 and Nico Ehlers raised to 9,000, forcing out one opponent. Haddadnia announced a pot-sized raise, which was for 39,000 total, and Ehlers quickly folded.

Haddadnia flashed {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for the flopped nut straight and raked in the pot to get a near average stack.

Romanello and Bicknell Eliminated

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Kristen Bicknell's miracle comeback from two big blinds never happened and Roberto Romanello was eliminated as well. On the button, Jeff Lisandro raised to 2,500 and Romanello called from the small blind. Nico Ehlers three-bet to 12,500 and Lisandro called, Romanello called all in for 11,100.

On the {J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, Ehlers moved all in for 5,200 and Lisandro called it off.

Roberto Romanello: {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Nico Ehlers: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Jeff Lisandro: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}

The {7-Hearts} turn and {7-Spades} river run out gave Romanello a flush only for Ehlers to improve to a full house.
