Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Just before the break Kevin MacPhee won a hand when the board read {9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and Bernd Gleissner had checked. MacPhee bet 6,700 and Gleissner called.

The river completed the board with the {10-Clubs} to pair the board, Gleissner checked again, now MacPhee bet 10,500 and Gleissner called before the dealer could even count how much the bet was for. Gleissner showed {K-Spades}{4-Spades} for two pair, kings and tens but MacPhee had him beat with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for the same two pair but with the ace-kicker.

Gleissner Eliminated By Cantu

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The board read {3-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{A-Spades} with a pot of about 88,000 on the table already. Brandon Cantu, in the big blind had checked, Bernd Gleissner, in mid-position bet 56,500, Cantu responded with a shove having Gleissner covered.

Gleissner went into the tank, he counted out the chips he still had behind which was about 35,000. Looked at the tournament clock to see how many players were still left. 34 players were left with 4 more needed to bust before the players were in the money. Looked at his cards again and wasn't too happy. He looked at the clock again, now there were 33 players left. Huffed and then made the call.

Brandon Cantu: {9-Spades}{3-Spades}
Bernd Gleissner: {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Gleissner had top pair but Cantu had flopped two pair, nines and threes. Gleissner needed another ace, jack or six to survive but the river completed the board with the {K-Spades}. Cantu took the pot and Gleissner left the tournament area just short of reaching the money.
