Nughes Nudging To The Top

The flop came {3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} on which they all checked. The turn brought them the {9-Diamonds}, the player in the small blind bet 1,600, Nughes called and the hijack folded.

The {4-Spades} on the river completed the board, the small blind bet 2,700, Nughes raised to about 10,000 prompting his opponent to fold immediately.

The turn brought them the {2-Diamonds}, the player in the small blind checked again. Chmielewski shoved to send his opponent into the tank. After a while, he folded while showing the {Q-Hearts}. The dealer pushed the pot to Chmielewski and he showed he had {Q-Spades}.

In the end, his opponent folded.

"Show a nine." Clinkscales said. Kessler didn't show anything to the table.

Desset Doubles Up

The flop read {4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and the player in the small blind had checked. Andrej Desset, in the hijack, bet 2,100, the player in the cutoff put his whole stack of 1,000-value chips in worth about 15,000. Walter Treccarichi, on the button, quickly folded as did the player in the small blind. Desset snap-called.

Desset had an overpair with his pocket kings and needed to avoid an ace or another nine. The turn brought them the {J-Hearts} and the river completed the board with the {J-Spades}. Desset won the hand and doubled up.
