Blancas Doubles Through Sivinov

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

The action folded to Ruben Garcia Blancas in the hijack who pushed all-in for 1,400,000. Ivaylo Sivinov was in the cutoff and made the call and the cards were face up.

Blancas showed {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} against Sivinov's {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}. The flop came {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Blancas took the lead with a pair of jacks. The {8-Hearts} landed on the turn and the {j-Hearts} hit the river. Blancas scored a key double up and Sivinov continued on a downward spiral.

Avramidis Doubles Into the Chip Lead

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Ivaylo Sivinov opened the action with a raise to 225,000 from the hijack and Makarios Avramidis on the button three-bet to 500,000. Jonathan Khalifa in the big blind was in the think tank and reluctantly folded, while Sivinov called after some consideration.

On the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, Sivinov checked and called a bet of 450,000 by Avramidis before both players checked the {5-Spades} on the turn. The {8-Clubs} appeared on the river and Sivinov moved all in. Avramidis called for 1.8 million and Sivinov turned over {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for trips nines, which Avramidis had beat with {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for a king-high flush.

"I had pocket tens," Khalifa added in table chat and dropped to second place just before Avramidis.

Pots for Lutkemeier and Fuchs

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Ruben Garcia Blancas faced a raise to 250,000 by Philipp Lutkemeier in early position and defended his big blind. Both players ended up checking down the board {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{6-Spades} entirely and Lutkemeier's {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for a pair of jacks won the pot.

Over on the other table, Florian Fuchs raised to 200,000 and was called by Lukasz Wasek and Matous Skorepa in the big blind. The flop of {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} was checked to Fuchs, and he bet 250,000 to force two quick folds.

Good Timing for Pflock

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Ivaylo Sivinov raised to 220,000 from the cutoff and Pascal Pflock shipped all-in for 1,235,000 from the big blind. Sivinov quickly called and turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Pflock, however, woke up with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} in the big blind and was poised to double up.

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and both players made a flush, with Pflock's being the largest.

"That's good timing for you," Sivinov said to Pflock.

Karel Kratochvil

Jonathan Khalifa opened to 205,000 and Karel Kratochvil moved all in for around 600,000. Once the action was back on Khalifa, he eyed the stack of his opponent and called.

Karel Kratochvil: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Jonathan Khalifa: {A-Clubs}{3-Spades}

"Ace of diamonds on the flop," Khalifa demanded and added "that's okay" when the flop fell {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}. "Ace?!" Khalifa added, but the {K-Spades} turn was equally good. After the blank {5-Hearts} river," Khalifa let out an "allez papa" while Kratochvil grabbed his belongings and headed to the payout desk to collect €14,404 for his efforts.

Skorepa Takes Another Hit

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Matous Skorepa raised to 180,000 from middle position and Philipp Lutkemeier ripped all-in for 820,000 on the button. The action folded back to Skorepa who took his time before making the call. Skorepa was delighted to see that he had Lutkemeier dominated with {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} against the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

The dealer fanned the flop of {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Lutkemeier out-flopped Skorepa in a big way. The turn was the {j-Clubs} and the river landed the {8-Diamonds}. Skorepa slammed the table and got up from his seat as he lost another big pot that he felt he should have taken down.
