Foxen Flops Well to Remain in Contention

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Alex Foxen open-shoved for his last 139,000 from early position and Nursultan Abilkassym reluctantly called out of the small blind.

Alex Foxen: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Nursultan Abilkassym: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

The flop came {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Foxen improved to two pair. Neither the {5-Hearts} turn nor the {8-Spades} river changed the outcome of the hand and Foxen doubled to leave his opponent short.

Ambrosio Busts Magistro

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The first two casualties after coming back from dinner were Marco Magistro and Fahredin Mustafov. The former three-bet shoved into a raise to 51,000 by fellow Italian Christian Ambrosio and his countryman called.

Marco Magistro: {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Christian Ambrosio: {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The board of {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} improved Ambrosio on the flop and Magistro was eliminated.

Thiel Continues to Stay Aggressive

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

On a flop of {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Florian Fuchs led out for 50,000 from middle position. Martin Thiel was in the cutoff and made the call. The {k-Spades} landed on the turn and Fuchs checked this time.

Thiel quickly fired 100,000 and Fuchs made the call. The river landed the {9-Clubs} and Fuchs checked again. Thiel announced all-in for 456,000 and Fuchs was puzzled. "Is this another bluff?" he asked Thiel but didn't get a response. Fuchs finally folded and Thiel raked in another pot.

Ruben Garcia Blancas raised and called the shove of Alex Foxen for 16 big blinds with near identical stacks.

Alex Foxen: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Ruben Garcia Blancas: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

The board of {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades} provided no help for the 2017 WSOP Player of the Year contender and he was sent to the rail.

Wolfrom and Sekularac Have a Raising War

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Ognjen Sekularac raised from the hijack and Sebastian Wolfrom re-raised on the button. Sekularac called and the flop fell {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Spades}.

Sekularac checked to Wolfrom who bet 55,000. Sekularac check-raised to 125,000 only to have Wolfrom re-raise to 405,000. Sekularac thought about it for a minute but decided to let his hand go sending the pot to Wolfrom.

Garcia Blancas Busts Another

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

A short-stacked Nursultan Abilkassym was all in with the {K-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Ruben Garcia Blancas looked him up with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. The board came {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and the player from Kazakhstan found no help to join the rail. Sander van Wesemael busted at almost the same time on a different table to reduce the field to the last 79 hopefuls.

Ensan Busts to Crha

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

Ruben Garcia Blancas cleaned up his table further as Maria Zijthof and Jeff Cormier were both eliminated.

Also on the rail is Hossein Ensan. The German faced a raise to 40,000 and a call by Rene Crha. Ensan moved in for 130,000 out of the blinds and the initial raiser called, then folded to the push of Crha.

Hossein Ensan: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Rene Crha: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

"Four!" Ensan demanded and pointed with his finger to the upcoming board. Instead, the flop fell {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and even Ensan could all but crack a smile, while the {9-Diamonds} turn and {J-Clubs} river completed the board. Ensan walked ovee to Crha to shake hands and headed to the payout desk after.
