Luske Hits Quads And Doubles Up

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Marcel Luske
Marcel Luske

Marcel Luske was sitting with an above average stack in front of him and he told the team what had happened.

"Someone raised to 400 and the player in the hijack three-bet to 1,300. I decided to flat with pocket nines. The initial raiser also called. The flop came three-six-eight, the first guy checked, the hijack bet 2,000, I raise to 7,000. The first guy folded, the hijack tank-shoved and I also went all in. He had queens for an overpair. The turn and the river were both nines so I had quads!"

Farrell Knocks One Out

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Yesterday, Ben Farrell fired three bullets in this event to no avail. Not one to easily back down, the Brit is back at it today to try his luck for the fourth time. Farrell is off to a good start as he just knocked out a player.

Farrell's opponent was already down to 11 big blinds and committed those with {10-}{10-}. Farrell looked him up with {A-}{10-} and caught both an ace and a backdoor flush to send his opponent to the rail.

Hughes Splits It

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Ryan Hughes has joined the field and is not sitting still in the first level.

He raised to 400 from the hijack and was called by the player in the small blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, the player in the small blind check-called the 550 bet of Hughes.

The turn brought them the {4-Spades}, now the small blind check-called the 1,400 bet of Hughes.

The river completed the board with the {9-Spades}, the small blind check-called again when Hughes bet 7,000. Hughes showed {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a full house, fours over nines. The player in the small blind showed {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the exact same full house so they had to split the pot.
