Kenney In Then Out

Level 9 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Bryn Kenney joined the field during the last level and was just eliminated by Sylvain Loosli.

The action started when Loosli raised from middle position and Andrew Leathem called in position. Kenney raised to 105,000 from the small blind and Loosli went all in for 478,000. Leathem asked Kenney for a rough count before deciding to fold and Kenney called.

Kenney had {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} against the {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} of Loosli. The board brought no help for Kenney and he headed to the rail.

Mateos Doubles Through Loosli in Massive Pot

Level 9 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Adrian Mateos Diaz
Adrian Mateos Diaz

Adrian Mateos and Sylvain Loosli were on the button and in the big blind, respectively, with a board of {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Loosli checked and Mateos moved all in for what would turn out to be 683,000, more than double the 300,000 or so in the pot. Loosli snap-called but his {k-Hearts}{6-Spades} two pair was no good as he had gotten unlucky on the river since Mateos held {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

"Top Two. It's a Good Hand."

Level 9 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Adrian Mateos had a bet of 80,000 in front of him out of the big blind when we got to his table. The flop read {q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Koray Aldemir had put in 200,000 on the button. Mateos shoved all in and Aldemir called for about 400,000 more.

Mateos: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Aldemir: {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Clubs} {a-Clubs} and the two pair held.

Anthony Zinno, who must have missed the action, asked Mateos what he had.

"Top two," the Spaniard responded. "It's a good hand."

Three Go Bust

Level 10 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Philipp Gruissem bet 30,000 from the cutoff on a flop of {3-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and quickly called when big blind Christian Christner check-shoved for 148,000.

Gruissem: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Christner: {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Christner was in awful shape and bricked out on the {3-Hearts} {8-Hearts} runout.

At nearby tables, Dominik Nitsche and Nick Petrangelo busted out as well.

Triple For the Wolf

Level 10 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Yair Bitoun
Yair Bitoun

Yair Bitoun went all in for his last 15,000 and Ryan Riess raised to 35,000 on the button. Ivan Luca came along from the big blind and the flop came {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

Both Riess and Luca checked. The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and Luca bet 24,000. Riess called. The river was the {2-Spades} Luca checked this time. Riess bet 65,000 and Luca folded.

Riess showed {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and took the side pot, but the main pot went to Bitoun who made two pair with {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

Bitoun is often referred to as "The Wolf" and has been playing many of the streamed cash games during the WSOP Europe.
