Farrell Doubles Through Bujtas in Massive Pot

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

Laszlo Bujtas, under the gun, and Niall Farrell, in the cutoff, built a pot of about 170,000 or so preflop. Bujtas bet 48,000 on a {3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop and Farrell called. Both checked the {7-Diamonds} and Bujtas checked the {2-Hearts}. Farrell thought about a minute and said he was all in. Bujtas instantly slid in a call but his {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} was no match for {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. Bujtas sent Farrell 142,500.

Shayler Gets Short

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Anastoly Filatov raised to 10,000 and Rainer Kempe on the button three-bet to 34,000. Stephen Shayler in the big blind called and Filatov folded. The flop fell {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Kempe asked for the remaining stack of Shayler before betting only 14,000. Shayler folded with the words "I rather get it in good" and dropped to around 13 big blinds.

Darie Flops the Nuts to Double

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Vlad Darie
Vlad Darie

Christian Stoyanov raised to 12,000 on the button and Vlad Darie moved all in from the big blind, which Stoyanov called.

Vlad Darie: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Christian Stoyanov: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

The {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop gave Darie the nut straight, and the {A-Hearts} turn and {9-Clubs} river brought no runner runner miracle for Stoyanov, who had to forfeit a decent chunk of his stack. Darie doubled for 163,000 and jumped above the average.

"The Rich Get Richer"

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Ivan Luca
Ivan Luca

Out of the small blind, Ivan Luca pushed for what appeared to be 48,000 and Michal Mrakes asked for a brief count, then called.

Ivan Luca: {Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Michal Mrakes: {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

After a board of {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}, Luca failed to improve and headed to the rail. "The rich get richer," Peter Smyth said while Mrakes raked in the pot to boost his big stack further.

Render Rivers Straight to Best Gierse

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Milad Oghabian raised to 9,000 from the cutoff and folded to a shove by Mustapha Kanit.

One hand later, Marius Gierse opened to 9,000 and Lauren Render three-bet to 23,500, which Gierse called. Both checked the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop before Gierse bet the {8-Diamonds} turn for 34,000. The {Q-Diamonds} appeared on the river and Gierse checked. Render needed some time to check behind, asking in table chat to herself if Gierse would check a flush.

Gierse rolled over {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a set of tens and Render had that beat with {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for the ace-high straight.

A Double From and a Double For Zarco

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Javier Zarco
Javier Zarco

Javier Zarco was three-handed with the board reading {j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and he was second to act behind a Niall Farrell check. Zarco bet 24,000 and the player on the button raised to 58,000 leaving about 85,000 behind.

Zarco shoved all in after Farrell folded and his opponent snap-called with a set of sixes, holding {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Zarco had only {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and could not win when the river came the {2-Hearts}.

The next hand, Zarco got all in with {a-Spades}{2-Spades} from the small blind against Anatoliy Zyrin in the big blind. Zyrin had {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, but Zarco found a double when he flopped two pair and the board finished {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

Mrakes Building, Dodges Ho's Straight Flush

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Michal Mrakes
Michal Mrakes

Michal Mrakes is building a huge stack, and has added almost 200,000 to his stack in the last hour. He was in a hand with Maria Ho again and managed to dodge a huge hand from Ho.

The board read {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} and Ho checked. Mrakes bet 13,000 and Ho called. The river was the {a-Clubs} and Ho checked to Mrakes again.

He thought for a second before checking back and Ho was less than enthused to turn over {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for the bottom end of a straight flush.

Ho's stack has been yoyoing for most of last night and today, but she has managed to find herself with a decent stack early on Day 3.
