Shayler Wins a Hand Against Panka

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

"At least now I can say I won a hand against Dominik Panka," Stephen Shayler said after he had just moved all in on a flop of {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Shayler had checked and Panka bet 15,000 before facing the check-raise all in by Shayler for 91,000.

Some table talk between the duo emerged and Panka eventually folded to see Shayler win the pot with a cheeky "thank you."

Below are further assorted chip counts.

Zinno Over Schillhabel

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Anthony Zinno defended his big blind from Stefan Schillhabel in the cutoff. The board read {j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs} on the turn and Zinno check-called 21,00. On the {a-Diamonds} river, he checked again. Schillhabel quickly checked back and couldn't beat the {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} shown down by Zinno.

Duczak Flushed Away by Lakhov

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Alexander Lakhov
Alexander Lakhov

Julian Thomas min-raised to 8,000 from early position and Alexander Lakhov called from two seats over. Once the action was on Aaron Duczak, he moved all in for 99,500 out of the big blind and Thomas was sent into the think tank. Eventually Thomas folded and Lakhov called after very brief consideration.

Aaron Duczak: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Alexander Lakhov: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

On the flop of {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, Duczak grabbed his iPad already and stood up from his chair while Lakhov said "please don't!" A blank {10-Diamonds} on the turn changed nothing, but Lakhov indeed improved to a flush with the {2-Clubs} river to eliminate Duczak before the money.

Small Pot for Münster

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Pavel Plesuv has been eliminated some time ago, having first lost the majority of his stack in a flip against Chi Zhang, while Jack Salter has taken the vacant seat and holds the biggest stack there now. Other notables on the same table feature 888poker ambassador Natalie Hof, Liwei Sun and Matas Cimbolas and it was the latter that got into a battle of the blinds with Kai Münster.

Picking up the action on the {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Cimbolas bet 11,500 and Münster called to see the {9-Diamonds} turn pair the board. Cimbolas slowed down and checked, which prompted Münster to bet 19,000. That was enough to rake in the pot for the German.

Talbot Makes a Big Fold

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

"That's the second biggest fold of my life," Parker Talbot said as he folded.

He was facing an all in bet for 97,000 into the pot of 100,000. Talbot had 174,000 behind.

The board read {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Talbot was in the tank for more than a minute, so long that he called the clock on himself.

"You shoving ace-queen for value?" Talbot questioned his opponent.

"Show me if I fold?"

His opponent responded.

"Why'd you talk, now I'm even more confused."

He then called the clock and let the countdown go to zero. The dealer leaned over and scooped up his cards. His opponent didn't show, but Talbot showed the table {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}.

Gardner Eliminated

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Anthony Gardner
Anthony Gardner

Nicky Romanello opened to 10,000 under the gun and Anthony Gardner shipped it from the next seat for what looked like 81,500. Romanello immediately called when it folded back to him.

Gardner: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Romanello: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The window card was a {k-Diamonds} and {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} followed it, leaving Gardner in big trouble. The turn and river were {7-Diamonds} and {7-Spades} and Gardner was left felted.

Schemion and Durnegger Battle With Rags

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Markus Durnegger checked in the small blind with {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades} on the felt in a battle of blinds with Ole Schemion. The latter bet 26,500 into the 40,000 or so pot and Durnegger called. On the {5-Clubs} river, Durnegger thought awhile and checked. Schemion pounded the table likewise with an open palm, and he showed {j-Clubs}{5-Spades} for two pair to beat Durnegger's {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.
