Bel Hachemi Over Lampropulos

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Maria Lampropulos raised to 1,800 from the hijack and Zoubir Bel Hachemi called in the cutoff.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}, Lampropulos continued with a bet of 2,000 and Bel Hachemi raised to 4,000. Lampropulos glanced at Bel Hachemi and then called.

They both checked through the {10-Clubs} on the turn and the {k-Spades} on the river. Lampropulos' {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} couldn't beat the {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} of Bel Hachemi who had flopped a higher pair.

Battle of the Bigger Stacks

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Ghassan Yared cashed in yesterday's evening flight but failed to bag up chips and he is back for more action. Milad Oghabian was also deep in the same flight but bowed out before the money bubble, and both happen to be at the same table on Day 1G.

The turn showed {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Yared in the hijack checked over to Oghabian on the button, who bet 14,000 into a pot of 24,000. Yared was sent into the think tank and the clock was called on him, 30 seconds ran down without a decision and his cards were dead.

"You wanna see?" Oghabian asked and Yared nodded.

"You don't wanna see ..." Oghabian added with a grin while raking in the pot.

Just before the blinds went up, a big three-way pot emerged and the stacks of Michael Panovec, Vivien Nagy and Tiziano Di Romualdo went in the middle with the turn showing {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

Tiziano Di Romualdo: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Michael Panovec: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}
Vivien Nagy: {Q-}{2-}

The {7-Spades} on the river gave Panovec the nut flush and he knocked out Di Romualdo, while doubling through Nagy for 33,400.

Jevicky Takes From Razab-Sekh and Pescatori

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

The board read {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} with around 8,500 in the middle already. Tomas Jevicky and Stieven Razab-Sekh had checked their blinds and Max Pescatori bet 2,000. Both Jevicky and Razab-Sekh called.

The river completed the board with the {j-Diamonds} and they all checked. Jevicky showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the flopped top pair and that was enough to take the pot down.
