Bayer and Dzido Bust the Main Event

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jack Salter opened from under the gun and Robert Skopalik called in middle position. Dario Dzido then three-bet all-in for 175,000 from the button. Salter called and Skopalik folded.

Jack Salter: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Dario Dzido: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board came {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} with Salter flopping a set to bust Dzido from the WSOPE Main Event.

Meanwhile, there was a commotion at a table involving Ryan Riess and Daniel Bayer. Bayer was all in and ahead holding {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} against Riess' {a-}{j-}

However there was a fright in store for Bayer on the day before Halloween as a jack on the river of a {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades} board sent him to the rail.`

Psychic Simunic Calls the Runner-Runner

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Josip Simunic
Josip Simunic

Vladimir Geshkenbein moved all in for 144,000 in middle position and Markus Durnegger looked him up.

Vladimir Geshkenbein: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Markus Durnegger: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The {A-Diamonds} landed in the window, followed by the {10-Clubs} and {2-Clubs} to give Geshkenbein a commanding lead in the hand. At that point, Josip Simunic walked over from a different table to sweat his friend Durnegger.

Simunic briefly looked at the board and at both hands.

"King," he said, and the dealer flipped the {K-Hearts}.

"Jack" he followed up, and sure enough the {J-Spades} landed on the river to chop the pot between both players. While others looked at him with large eyes, Simunic treated it as just another day at the card calling office and casually strolled back to his table. Meanwhile, Durnegger briefly thought he'd won with the rivered straight before the dealer pointed out the chop.

Kempe Tank-Folds Versus Matejka

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

On a {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} turn Rainer Kempe check-called 52,000 from Dominik Matejka.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Kempe checked. Matejka moved all in and Kempe tanked.

Eventually, someone called the clock.

"It's for his whole tournament," said Allen Kessler, but Kempe reassured him. The 30-second countdown started, but Kempe soon folded.
