Once he saw the cards of his opponent, Back already jokingly said goodbye and his prediction turned out to be true. The board came {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Pavlyuchuk claimed the pot with two pair, sending Back to the rail in 10th place for €3,991.

Pavlyuchuk Back In Contention

Oleg Pavlyuchuk defended his big blind against a raise by Hanh Tran and check-called all in after a flop of {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Pavlyuchuk turned over the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for trips kings and Tran was caught with the fingers in the cookie jar, revealing just {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. The {4-Clubs} turn and {6-Clubs} river brought no upset and Pavlyuchuk doubled for 220,000.

Sarnow Pushes the Flop

Martin Rothaermel dropped down further and forfeited his blinds with several other severe short stacks in contention at 11 players remaining. One of them is Florian Sarnow and he raised the pot for 140,000 first to act, Romain Lewis just called in the big blind.

Lewis checked the {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop and Sarnow moved all in, Lewis folded and was shown the {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

Oleg Pavlyuchuk then raised the pot and Back called all in from the small blind, Hanh Tran called in the big blind. Tan pushed on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop and Pavlyuchuk folded.

Pavlyuchuk Doubles Again; Rothaermel Left Short

Hanh Tran raised to 90,000 from early position and called the shove of Oleg Pavlyuchuk in the big blind for 140,000 in total.

Over on the other table, Martin Rothaermel limped in and Sebastian Obermeier called in the small blind, Tarek Sleiman checked his option from the big blind. They checked the {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop and Obermeier bet the {2-Clubs} turn for 75,000, both opponents called.

On the {J-Diamonds} river, Obermeier bet 260,000 and Sleiman folded, Rothaermel called and was shown the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for the king-high straight. Rothaermel mucked an inferior straight and dropped to a mere 10 big blinds.
