Pumpalov Busts; Diaz Left Very Short

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Luchezar Pumpalov
Luchezar Pumpalov

In two consecutive hands, Tarek Sleiman took the entire stack of Luchezar Pumpalov to reduce the field to the last 24 hopefuls.

In the first hand he got it in with the {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} against Pumpalov's {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} and the board came {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Then, Pumpalov got the remainder of his stack in with the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}]. Again it was Sleiman that had {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and they got it in after the {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop. The {A-Hearts} turn and {9-Clubs} river improved Sleiman and Pumpalov was felted in 25th place.

One big pot was still playing one table over and that vaulted him into second place. Hanh Tran had raised to 55,000 and picked up one caller. Guillaume Diaz raised the pot and Tran shoved for 626,000. The cold caller got out of the way and Diaz called it off.

Hanh Tran: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Guillaume Diaz: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The board came {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Tran scored a massive double.

Boyd Busts In Cruel Fashion

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Dutch Boyd
Dutch Boyd

Dutch Boyd in the cutoff and Florian Sarnow in the small blind got their stacks in preflop and it was Boyd at risk of elimination.

Dutch Boyd: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{2-Spades}
Florian Sarnow: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The {Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop gave Boyd top set and he only had to fear the case ace. Nothing changed with the {7-Clubs} turn, but the {A-Diamonds} river came up on the river to give Sarnow the one outer. Sarnow had been down to as low as 45,000 earlier today and moved up to almost ten times of that.

Mrakes and Saliou Depart

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Jerome Saliou
Jerome Saliou

There are only 27 players remaining after the eliminations of Michal Mrakes and Jerome Saliou.

Mrakes was first to go after his {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} ended up second-best to the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} of Luchezar Pumpalov on a board of {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Saliou busted in a battle of the blinds with Christian Teubner when the stacks went in preflop to create the following showdown.

Jerome Saliou: {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Christian Teubner: {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

The {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop gave Saliou outs to a straight, while some of those were gone due to Teubner's flush draw. After the {7-Spades} turn and {A-Clubs} river, Saliou was left empty-handed and finished in 28th place.

Sarnow Doubles; Schlesier Busts

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Florian Sarnow
Florian Sarnow

Florian Sarnow was all in for 104,000 against Michael Magalashvili and tabled the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Magalashvili held {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and the board of {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts} kept Sarnow's hand best.

"Welcome back," Michael Soyza said from one seat over.

Torsten Schlesier was less fortunate and sent his chips over to table neighbor Norbert Burkhard. All in with the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, he faced the {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts} of Burkhard and was drawing dead on the turn of a board {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

Rothaermel Busts Petleshkov With a Straight Flush

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Viliyan Petleshkov got his stack in preflop with the {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} and chip leader Martin Rothaermel looked him up with the {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

The board came {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Rothaermel turned the flush, then rivered the straight flush for good measure to further increase his massive lead on the last four tables.

Lawrie Busts; Dyll Doubles

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Edward Lawrie
Edward Lawrie

Edward Lawrie ended up all in and at risk preflop with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Martin Rothaermel looked him up with the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

The board came {J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Rothaermel rivered the five for a full house to eliminate Lawrie in 33rd place.

Moments later one table over, Andreas Dyll was spotted all in with the {J-}{10-}{8-}{7-Spades} and Aaron Duczak had the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} tabled. The {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop gave Dyll a lot of outs, and he improved to a straight on the {7-Diamonds} turn, which made the {2-Clubs} river a formality.

Rothaermel Dominates at the Top

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Michal Mrakes doubled and Edward Lawrie did so against Martin Rothaermel, but that only put a very minor dent into the stack of the German, who holds nearly two times as many chips as Christopher Back and Guillaume Diaz with 33 players remaining.
