A Chip and A Chair for Hryhoriev

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Mykhailo Hryhoriev
Mykhailo Hryhoriev

Mykhailo Hryhoriev raised in the cutoff and Norbert Mosonyi called in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{a-Spades} and Mosonyi check-raised to 700,000 after Hryhoriev 's continuation bet of 350,000. The latter called.

Things heated on the {6-Hearts} turn. Mosonyi announced all-in with a stack worth 5,250,000, putting Hryhoriev to a decision with a similar stack. Hryhoriev ended up calling to create the following showdown:

Mykhailo Hryhoriev: {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Norbert Mosonyi: {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Mosonyi held a better two pair and the {2-Clubs} didn't change anything for Hryhoriev, who was left with only one chip of 25,000 after the hand.

Samuel Mika Eliminated in 5th Place (€12,138)

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Samuel Mika
Samuel Mika

Samuel Mika raised to 450,000 from the cutoff and it got folded to big blind Renat Bohdanov. The chip leader three-bet shoved all in and Mika snap-called for about 5,000,000, instantly creating the biggest pot of the tournament thus far.

Samuel Mika: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Renat Bohdanov: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}

Mika found himself in prime contention to take over the chip lead but faith would have it otherwise. The board ran out {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades} to see Bohdanov river a straight, and Mika muttered some words in disgust before heading to the payout desk.

Bensimhon Facing Three Barrels

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Norbert Mosonyi raised to 400,000 from middle position and Eyal Bensimhon defended the big blind. Mosonyi bet a quick 400,000 on both the {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop and {k-Clubs} turn, twice called by Bensimhon.

The river was the {q-Hearts} and Bensimhon snap-folded after Mosonyi moved all in.

A Breather for Bensimhon

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Eyal Bensimhon & Renat Bohdanov
Eyal Bensimhon & Renat Bohdanov

Eyal Bensimhon found himself on a slippery slope after the first break but just halted his downward trend by slicing a little off Renat Bohdanov's stack. Bensimhon defended the big blind with {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} against an early open and check-called 275,000 on an {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop.

The {a-Hearts} turn and {6-Hearts} river brought no further action, giving the Israeli the winner after Bohdanov mucked.

Small Pots for Mika

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

First, Eyal Bensimhon min-raised to 400,000 in the cutoff and Samuel Mika called from the big blind.

The flop {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} went check-check and the {9-Clubs} landed on the turn. Mika led out for 800,000 — enough to make Bensimhon fold.

The hand after, Norbert Mosonyi limped on the button and Mika raised to 800,000 from the small blind. He took down the pot after Mosonyi let it go.

Bohdanov Crests Ten Million

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Renat Bohdanov
Renat Bohdanov

In two back-to-back hands, Renat Bohdanov extended his chip lead to leave him inches shy of the 10M mark. Mykhailo Hryhoriev raised to 475,000 on the button and Bohdanov defended the big blind. The {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop prompted two checks.

On the {4-Spades} turn, Bohdanov reached for 650,000 and Hryhoriev quickly waved the white flag.

The next hand, the Ukranian defended the small blind to a 425,000 under the gun raise from Samuel Mika. The {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop went check-check. Bohdanov check-called 725,000 on the {2-Spades} turn before the {j-Diamonds} river brought another round of checks.

Bohdanov showed {k-Spades}{9-Spades} for a pair of nines, Mika flashed {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and mucked.
