Kempe Flops the Flush

Level 4 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Rainer Kempe raised to 33,000 from the cutoff and was called by Joao Vieira on the button and Christoph Vogelsang in the big blind.

They all checked through the {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop to the {9-Spades} on the turn. Vogelsang check-called the 85,000 bet of Kempe while Vieira folded.

The river completed the board with the {6-Spades}, Vogelsang checked for the last time. Kempe now fired a bet of 293,000 over the line. Vogelsang took his time and then decided to make the call. Kempe tabled {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the flush and that was more than enough to take the pot down.

Eibinger and Thorel Chop

Level 3 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ryan Riess raised to 30,000 from under the gun and Matthias Eibinger three-bet to 90,000 in the early position. Jean-Noel Thorel called in the middle position and action folded back to Riess who also called.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, both Riess and Eibinger checked. Thorel bet 325,000 and Riess called after a while. Eibinger then put in 3,400,000 for the raise, having both of his opponents covered. Thorel announced he was all-in for less. Riess jumped into the tank, using four time-banks, and then folded reluctantly.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Matthias Eibinger: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

They had both flopped an open-ended straight draw but a queen would give Eibinger the win with the king.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} for them both to hit a straight and the river completed the board with the {5-Hearts} for them to chop the pot.

James Chen had just taken a seat on the table to bring the total number of entries up to 21.
