Karpov Drops; Pezzoli Survives

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Stefan Mital opened the action with a raise to 25,000 from early position and Agostino Pellegrini called from the button, with Sergii Karpov three-betting to 91,000 from the small blind. Alessandro Pezzoli was in the big blind and he had a little bit more than a blind calling all in, and Mital decided to proceed with a four-bet to 225,000.

Pellegrini got out of their way and Karpov called the four-bet .

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} with Karpov and Mital checking all the way to the river. Pezzoli opened {9-Spades}{6-Clubs} with trips and he won the small main pot, while the big side between Karpov and Mital went to the latter, who showed {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Oettl Flops a Flush

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Peter Oettl shoved for 111,000 and Andre Wiedenstried did so for little more in the small blind, Antonio Turrisi called for 113,000 in the big blind.

Peter Oettl: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Andre Wiedenstried: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Antonio Turrisi: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

While Oettl had the worst hand heading into the showdown, he flopped the flush on {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and the {q-Hearts} turn and {q-Diamonds} river brought no further upset.

Turrisi was left with 4,000 and busted shortly after.

Yang Needed Two Clocks to Fold

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jian Yang played a big hand against Shahar Ohayon that lasted around ten minutes without a showdown.

Yang opened from early position to 24,000 and right next to him Ohayon three-bet to 83,000. The action went back to Yang who was struggling to decide until the clock was called on him. The floor manager arrived at the table and started counting the last 30 seconds for Yang's decision, who called when there were five more seconds left in the clock.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Yang checked with Ohayon announcing all in. Another tough decision for Yang who spent a lot of time in the tank, until the clock was called on him for the second time on the same hand. Ten seconds before the end of his time he folded and Ohayon scooped the pot.

Romailler Doubles Through Deeb

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Alain Romailler raised it up in early position and Shaun Deeb defended from the big blind. The flop fell {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Deeb checked to Romailler who continued with a bet. Deeb check-raised all in and Romailler instantly called off his stack of 139,000.

Alain Romailler: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Shaun Deeb: {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

Despite flopping a pair of sixes, Deeb was trailing Romailler's pair of queens. The {k-Hearts} and {10-Diamonds} runout would not improve Deeb as he sent over a double up.
