Aces, Kings, and Queens

Level 22 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Efstathios Komitas
Efstathios Komitas

After arriving at the table, three players had all of their chips in the middle with the cards already on their backs. Wojciech Wyrebski was the shortest stack with 290,000, followed by Efstathios Komitas with 330,000. Rainer Rockenstein had them both covered and held the best hand.

Rainer Rockenstein: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Efstathios Komitas: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Wojciech Wyrebski: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

All three players had premium hands and the flop of {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} left Rockenstein in the lead with his pair of aces. However, the {k-Spades} on the turn gave Komitas a set and a big lead. The {10-Clubs} completed the board and Komitas nearly tripled his stack while eliminating Wyrebski in the process.

Can Can't Hold With Sevens

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Nesrin Can
Nesrin Can

"Another mistake by me," Nesrin Can said and was rather disappointed about her exit after she had pushed with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} against the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} of Tien Tam Nguyen. It was not preflop as Can mentioned in table chat and rather Nguyen had flopped top pair and turned trips before making a full house on the river of a {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs} board.

Defresne Also Busts Cruz

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Not long ago Charlie Defresne had sent an opponent to the rail and he just opened and reluctantly called the three-bet of Andre Cruz for 215,000 in total.

Andre Cruz: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Charlie Defresne: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The board came {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} to improve Defresne to aces and queens, which sent Cruz to the payout desk.

Moser and Kadosh Eliminated

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Shalom Kadosh
Shalom Kadosh

The action folded to Alexander Moser in the hijack who shoved all in for just under 200,000. Simon Burns called from the cutoff and the rest of the table folded. Moser turned over {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and was flipping with Burns who had {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Burns paired his queen on the turn to eliminate Moser.

At the table beside, Yannick Schumacher opened to 40,000 in middle position and Shalom Kadosh ripped all in for around 140,000 in the big blind. Schumacher instantly called and had Kadosh in trouble.

Schumacher's {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} was way ahead of Kadosh's {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the flop of {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades} left it that way. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn and the {q-Diamonds} on the river couldn't help Kadosh who was also sent to the payout desk.

Robert Campbell was seen on the way to the payout desk which reduces the 2019 WSOP Player of the Year race to all but Shaun Deeb, who needs to reach the final table in order to surpass Daniel Negreanu.

Aleksandr Merzhvinskii explained that Campbell had lost a flip for 320,000 with jacks against the ace-queen of Pierre Neuville when he four-bet shoved from under the gun.

Graf Doubles Through Skhulukhiya

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The cards of Giorgiy Skhulukhiya were already in the muck as he paid off the 490,000 of Alexander Graf who had hit a flush with {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} in a battle of the blinds on a board of {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

According to Alessandro Laubinger, Graf had limp-shoved out of the small blind and was snap-called by Skhulukhiya with {a-}{q-} to get there on the turn.
