Poizner Out in Two Hands

In the first of two hands, Alexander Poizner and Gerardo Giammugnani had built a pot of about a million already when the board was reading {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Poizner fired a shell worth 570,000 and Giammugani called him off after quite some thought with {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Poizner had {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for an airball and was left with 625,000.

A few hands later, Poizner shipped his remaining stack in from under the gun and got a call once seat over from Andrii Vakaliuk.

The river completed the board with the {8-Spades}, Bohdanov checked for the last time. Jain shoved and Bohdanov asked for a count. The dealer confirmed Jain had 2,095,000 behind.
