Riess Doubles Through Badziakouski

Level 8 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Mikita Badziakouski opened to 180,000 from the hijack and Matthias Eibinger called on the button. Ryan Riess three-bet to 850,000 from the big blind and Badziakouski four-bet to 2,000,000. Eibinger quickly folded and Riess used three of his time extensions before just making the call.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} and Riess checked to Badziakouski who shoved all in. Riess called off his last 1,390,000 and the cards were tabled. Badziakouski showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} while Riess was out front with {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

The turn was the {q-Hearts} and Riess held on through the {8-Hearts} on the river in order to score a huge double up.

Foxen Takes It On the Turn

Level 8 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Alex Foxen opened to 180,000 with the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and picked up two callers in Dominik Nitsche with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Orpen Kisacikoglu with {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

On the {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, only Nitsche called a bet of 195,000 by Foxen and the {4-Diamonds} followed on the turn. Foxen now made it 1,100,000 to go and shut down all further resistance.

Vogelsang Jams Up His Stack

Level 8 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

On a three-way flop of {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}, Danny Tang check-folded when facing a bet of 250,000 by Paul Phua in the big blind and a button raise to 850,000 by Christoph Vogelsang on the button.

Phua tossed in calling chips after short consideration and the {j-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Phua now checked and Vogelsang shoved for 2,780,000 to force a fold.

Burns Busts With Aces

Level 8 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Kahle Burns
Kahle Burns

Kahle Burns opened and then four-bet all in against Tony G, who made the call for 1,760,000 in total.

Kahle Burns: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Tony G: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} flop gave Tony G some hope with a gutshot and while the {q-Hearts} turn came a blank, the {j-Hearts} river dealt the blow to Burns.

"Unreal, I just can't catch a break," the Aussie gasped while Tony G engaged in table chat with Cary Katz.

"I can't do much with that, have already too much in it," he said and Katz replied "that's the only hand you have to worry about."

Level 8 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Rainer Kempe opened to 170,000 with the {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} on the button and Orpen Kisacikoglu defended the big blind with {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Kisacikoglu check-called a bet of 120,000.

Kisacikoglu picked up a flushdraw on the {9-Hearts} turn and bet 400,000, which Kempe called. After the {6-Hearts} river, Kisacikoglu made his flush and bet 4,000,000 to give Kempe the option to call all-in or fold with fewer than half the starting stack behind. He used a time-bank extension and indeed folded trips jacks.

Level 8 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dominik Nitsche raised it up to 200,000 in the hijack and was called by Richard Yong on the button and Christoph Vogelsang in the small blind. The flop fell {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and the action checked to Yong who bet 300,000. Vogelsang called and Nitsche jammed all in for 1,450,000. Yong called and Vogelsang got out of the way.

Richard Yong: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Dominik Nitsche: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Nitsche was currently out front with his pair of kings but the {4-Diamonds} on the turn quickly spelled disaster. Nitsche was drawing dead to the {7-Hearts} on the river and Yong collected his chips.

Tony G
Tony G

Matthias Eibinger raised to 165,000 on Tony G's big blind again and Tony G replied with another three-bet to 565,000. Eibinger called and the flop of {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} hit the felt.

Both players checked and the {j-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Tony G led out for 400,000 and Eibinger called. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Tony G let his clock run down before betting 1,500,000. Eibinger quickly folded and Tony G quickly figured out that the correct move was to check the river instead.
