Lim Flushes Out Vogelsang

Level 6 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

A completed board of {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} was spread across the felt with just over 700,000 in the middle. Chin Wei Lim checked from the big blind and Christoph Vogelsang dropped in a bet of 650,000 on the button.

Lim went into the tank, using up a time extension, before check-raising to 1,525,000. Vogelsang made a surprisingly quick call only to see Lim turn over {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Vogelsang sent over the chips and Lim collected a sizeable pot.

Katz Has the Goods

Level 6 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Cary Katz raised it up from early position and was called by Tony G in the big blind. The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Tony G checked to Katz who continued for 250,000. Tony G called and the {2-Spades} landed on the turn.

Tony G checked again and Katz fired out another large bet of 645,000. Tony G used up one of his time extensions before deciding to put top pair in the muck. It turned out to be a good fold as Katz held two aces.

Mikita Badziakouski

Kahle Burns raised it up to 125,000 on the button and Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 550,000 in the big blind. Burns called and the dealer spread the flop of {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Badziakouski led out for 400,000 and Burns called to see the {4-Clubs} on the turn.

Badziakouski checked this time and Burns splashed in a bet of 600,000. Badziakouski called and the {7-Clubs} completed the board. Badziakouski checked again and Burns shoved all in. Badziakouski instantly called off his stack of 2,250,000 and Burns showed {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a flush. Badziakouski, however, held {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a higher flush in order to double up.

Kempe Hero-Calls Kisacikoglu

Level 6 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 125,000 in the hijack and Rainer Kempe defended from the big blind. The flop came {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Kempe checked to Kisacikoglu who continued for 275,000. Kempe check-raised to 700,000 and Kisacikoglu called.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and both players checked to the {2-Diamonds} on the river. Kempe checked once more and Kisacikoglu put together a bet of 1,200,000. Kempe made a relatively quick call and Kisacikoglu turned over {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a missed flush draw. Kempe looked back at his cards but was unable to beat the ace-high on the table.

Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 125,000 and James Chen called, as did Paul Phua in the big blind. On the {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, all three players checked. The {k-Clubs} turn was checked to Chen and he bet 200,000, which only Kisacikoglu called.

After the {q-Clubs} river, both players checked and Kisacikoglu tabled the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}, which Chen had beat with the {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

In the final hand before the dinner break, Adrian Mateos raised to 110,000 in the cutoff and Phua three-bet to 330,000 on the button. Out of the big blind, Timothy Adams squeezed to 730,000 and Mateos five-bet to 1.4 million. Phua used one time bank and moved all in.

Adams tank-folded and Mateos also sigh-folded.

"I had ace-king, just go for it," Phua said with a big grin on the face while Adams mentioned in table chat he folded pocket queens.

Dominik Nitsche limped in from early position and Anatoly Filatov raised to 225,000 on his left. Chin Wei Lim was in the big blind having both players covered and shipped all in. Nitsche stuck in the last of his 1,540,000 chips and Filatov tossed his cards.

Dominik Nitsche: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Chin Wei Lim: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Not only did Nitsche have the higher pocket pair, but he also had both of the suits covered. The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Nitsche held on to double up.
