Nissim More Than Doubles

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Pierre Mothes raised to 4,500 from under the gun and was called by Bernd Gleissner in the early position, Ron Nissim in the middle position, Mariusz Jurkow on the button, and Petru Papuc in the big blind.

They all checked through the {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{a-Spades} flop to the {9-Spades} on the turn. Papuc and Mothes checked. Gleissner bet 20,000 after contemplating his options for a bit. Nissim responded with a shove for 70,500 which Papuc called. Mothes folded quickly and so did Gleissner in the end.

"Flush?" Papuc asked Nissim.

Nissim shook his head and tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for the turned set.

Papuc showed he held {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

The river completed the board with the {3-Hearts} to secure the double-up through Papuc for Nissim.
