Level 8 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Sergey Verkhoturov three-bet an open raise by Ngoc Minh Hoang from 4,000 to 11,500 and then fired three barrels on a {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades} board. The final bet was his push for 72,600 and Hoang reluctantly called.

Verkhoturov tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and Hoang had {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for the inferior two pair to lose a big portion of his stack.

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair

Jack Sinclair limped in on the button and Anton Morgenstern opted to complete his small blind. Eyal Bensimhon decided to check.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}, they all checked through to the {5-Clubs} on the turn. Morgenstern checked, Bensimhon bet 3,500 and only Sinclair called.

The river completed the board with the {9-Spades}, Bensimhon shoved and Sinclair tanked for a while and then made the call with {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for two pair, tens and fives. Bensimhon tabled {2-}{2-} for the flopped full house to send the defending champion to the rail.

Rivered Flush for Lampropulos

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Maria Lampropulos was in the big blind against Igor Yaroshevskyy on the button and the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades} were the first three community cards. Lampropulos check-called Yaroshevskyy's bet for 5,000 and the turn was the {2-Hearts}.

Lampropulos checked again and Yaroshevskyy bet 28,500 this time, with Lampropulos tanking for almost four minutes before making the call.

The {2-Spades} completed the board and Lampropulos checked, only to see Yaroshevskyy check-back for her flush to not get paid. She opened {10-Spades}{6-Spades} and Yaroshevskyy threw his cards to the muck.
