Vasil Medarov Eliminated in 7th Place (€27,317)

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Vasil Medarov
Vasil Medarov

Nikola Minkov opened to 350,000 and then called the 730,000 all-in from Vasil Medarov. Minkov just had his opponent covered.

Vasil Medarov: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Nikola Minkov: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Both players hit the ace on the {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, but Minkov had the superior kicker. Medarov couldn't catch up on the {k-Hearts} turn and the {2-Diamonds} was not the card he was looking for.

He tapped the table and left for the rail in seventh-place.

Minkov would then raise to 350,000 preflop in the next two consecutive hands and scoop the pots uncontested.

Klostermeier Assumes Control

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Maximilian Klostermeier raised to 250,000 from under the gun and was called by Ermanno Di Nicola. The {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop was bet by Klostermeier for 350,000 and Di Nicola folded.

One hand later, Di Nicola raised and won the blinds and big blind ante.

Klostermeier raised to 250,000 out of the small blind next and Armando D'Avanzo called out of the big blind. The {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop brought a bet worth 250,000 by Klostermeier and D'Avanzo called. After the {4-Diamonds} turn, Klostermeier check-called for 300,000 and the {9-Spades} river was checked.

"Pocket tens," Klostermeier announced and tabled the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, which won the pot.

Jaroslav Peter raised to 250,000 next and Klostermeier repotted to win the pot without any further resistance.

Karakitukov Wins One Then Loses One

Level 21 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Veselin Karakitukov opened to 280,000 in the hijack and only Maximilian Klostermeier, on the button, called.

Klostermeier released his cards after Karakitukov jamming on the {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop.

The very next hand, Karakitukov raised to 200,000 and action folded to Ermanno Di Nicola in the big blind. He called.

Both players checked the {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop which brought in the {6-Diamonds}. Di Nicola took the initiative and bet 180,000 which his opponent called.

Di Nicola tabled the winner with {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, which was good for two pair, after the {7-Clubs} river was checked through.

Armando D'Avanzo
Armando D'Avanzo

Armando D'Avanzo raised the pot to 280,000 from an early position and received a single caller in Joni Jouhkimainen, who came along in the cutoff. On a flop of {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, D'Avanzo moved all-in and Jouhkimainen called.

Armando D'Avanzo: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Joni Jouhkimainen: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

"That's a fair fight," the Finn said as he held the middle pair and open-ender against top pair with a gutshot. Nothing changed on the {7-Hearts} turn and the {3-Clubs} river ensured the double-up of D'Avanzo for 670,000.
