Peters Calls Down Grobe

Level 3 : 300/500, 500 ante

Jeffrey Grobe and Tobias Peters were heads-up in the blind with around 15,000 in the middle. A completed board {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} was spread across the felt and Grobe led out with a bet of 6,500 in the small blind.

Peters thought for a minute as he eyed up his opponent on his left, and tried some table talk to no avail. Peters eventually called and Grobe showed {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for top pair. Peters flipped over {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} for an overpair and was awarded the pot.

Trajkovski Gets Paid by Yanovski

Level 3 : 300/500, 500 ante

The {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop was checked by Aleksandr Trajkovski out of the big blind and he then called a bet worth 1,700 by Leonid Yanovski. The {8-Hearts} turn was checked and Trajkovski bet the {9-Clubs} river for 4,800. Yanovski called after brief consideration and mucked when Trajkovski revealed the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for a straight.

Annunziata Busts to a One-Outer

Level 2 : 200/400, 400 ante

A large crowd gathered at Table 115 amidst a lot of commotion and some photos being taken. A completed board of {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} was spread across the table with two players having all of their chips in the middle.

According to the table, Armando Annunziata and Alberto Perera got all of their chips in on the turn with Annunziata holding {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a set of nines. Perera had his opponent covered but held the inferior set with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. However, the {7-Clubs} on the river gave Perera quad sevens and Annunziata was eliminated in horrible fashion.

Nemes Loses a Small Chunk

Level 2 : 200/400, 400 ante

Heads-up to the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Silviu Nemes bet 5,000 and Cihan Bicik check-called. The {a-Hearts} turn was checked and the {5-Diamonds} fell on the river. Bicik now bet 7,500 and Nemes called but mucked when he was shown the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} by Bicik.

Toussaint Pays Off Rotman

Level 2 : 200/400, 400 ante

On the tail end of a bigger pot between Nicolas Rotman and Henri Toussaint, the board showed {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. With plenty of chips in the middle, Rotman bet 25,000 by tossing in a blue chip and Toussaint paid it off after brief consideration.

Rotman tabled the {a-Hearts}{7-Spades} for the straight and Toussaint flashed {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} before grinning and shaking his head.

Quattrucci Eliminates Kabrhel

Level 2 : 200/400, 400 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Dario Quattrucci raised it up in the hijack and Martin Kabrhel three-bet from the small blind. Quattrucci replied with a four-bet to 32,000 and Kabrhel called.

The flop came {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} and Kabrhel checked to Quattrucci who slid out a large stack of chips. Kabrhel quickly called off his stack of around 35,000 and the cards were tabled.

Martin Kabrhel: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Dario Quattrucci: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Kabrhel flopped two pair but Quattrucci held the only flush draw. The {k-Spades} on the turn completed Quattrucci's flush and the {6-Spades} on the river sent Kabrhel to the rail. After being the first player eliminated today, Quattrucci now has one of the largest stacks in the tournament.
