Day 2 Completed
It's official! The 2021 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event is the largest ever. With 688 entries, it has surpassed the 2011 WSOPE Main Event field of 593 after an extraordinary Day 2.
Leading the survivors appears to be German Christian Stratmeyer with over 1.3 million chips, but there are several others who bagged seven-figure stacks including Jovan Kenjic, Luuk Gieles, Ian Bradley and GGPoker Qualifier Dawid Smolka.

Joining the big stacks in Day 2 are bracelet winners Jan-Peter Jachtmann, Simone Andrian, Ole Schemion, Stoyan Madanzhiev, Dalibor Dula, Hossein Ensan, Davide Suriano, Dominik Panka, and defending champion Alexandros Kolonias.
Other notables include Natural8 Ambassador Pete Chen, Fahredin Mustafov, Akin Tuna, Guillaume Diaz, Tobias Peters, Johan Guilbert, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Roland Israelashvili, Christoph Vogelsang, Zhong Chen, and Anatoly Filatov.
With seven levels played, and late registration open for five of them, there was always going to be action early. And so it proved with the likes of two-time bracelet-winner Martin Kabrhel and former champion Jack Sinclair eliminated early, with neither adding to their tally in this year's Main Event.
As the levels drew on, big stacks began to emerge such as Bradley and Dario Quattrucci and by the time late registration closed, a new record of 688 had been set, confirming it as the largest WSOP Europe Main Event in history and generating a prize pool of €6,536,000.

The clock has been paused and the tournament director has instructed the dealers to play out three more hands.
Play will close for the day afterwards and all remaining players will return to King's Resort, Rozvadov at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Monday, December 6 for Day 3.
Patrik Zidek opened to 13,000 from under the gun and Leonid Yanovski three-bet to 46,000 out of the small blind, which Zidek called. The flop brought a bet worth 20,000 by Yanovski and a call.
After the turn, Yanovski opted to check-call for 60,000 and checked again the
river. Zidek now moved all-in and Yanovski tanked for two minutes before asking for a count. The shove was for 193,000 and the clock was called on Yanovski, no call followed.

With 145,000 in the pot and the board reading , Adnan Toric checked in the small blind and Andrea Ricci jammed for 420,000.
Toric, with 345,000 behind, tried his best to get some information out of Ricci but it was to no avail. Toric was stuck and the clock was called. The floorman got to the end of the countdown and Toric's hand was dead.
Ricci turned over the which was then followed by the
and Toric slapped the table. The pair exchanged some heated words but things cooled down shortly after.
