Michele Tocci opened to 625,000 from early position with A♦9♦ and Max Neugebauer defended his big blind with Q♥7♥.
Neugebauer check-called for 325,000 on the Q♦9♥9♣ flop which saw his pair of queens behind Tocci's trips.
Tocci sized up to 750,000 on the 6♠ turn and again Neugebauer called.
The 4♥ completed the board and gave Tocci the best hand once again. Neugebauer checked and the chip leader fired out 2,600,000. Neugebauer made the disciplined fold for Tocci to take in another pot.
Nils Pudel raised to 600,000 under the gun and Michael Rocco called in the small blind. Eric Tsai also came along from the big blind.
The flop came K♣9♠7♠ and Pudel bet 550,000. Rocco then raised to 1,400,000 and Tsai called. Pudel tanked for a few minutes before folding A♦A♣, leaving Rocco and Tsai heads-up to the 2♦ turn.
Rocco then moved all in for 4,600,000 and Tsai gave it some thought before calling. He showed K♠3♠ for a pair and flush draw, while Rocco had 9♦9♣ for a set of nines.
The 2♣ fell on the river and Rocco improved to a full house to earn a double up, knocking the start-of-day chip leader down to a short stack.
