Ko Putting Big Stack to Work

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
David Dongwoo Ko
David Dongwoo Ko

Three players went to a flop of 643 where Achim Prinzing bet 2,300 from early position. David Dongwoo Ko called on the button, as did big blind Philipp Hartwig.

All three players checked the 8 turn. The river was the A and Prinzing bet another 7,100. Ko then raised to 15,000.

Hartwig quickly folded, while Prinzing took a minute before joining him in the muck as Ko added to his massive stack.

Simone Andrian is also sitting on a big stack at this table.

WSOP Paradise Schedule in December Includes $50M GTD Super Main Event

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
WSOP Paradise Bracelet
WSOP Paradise Bracelet

The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise schedule is out, and it includes 15 gold bracelet events highlighted by the largest guaranteed poker tournament prize pool ever.

All the action takes place at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas from Dec. 3-13. The series includes a record $25,000 buy-in Super Main Event starting Dec. 9, featuring a $50 million guaranteed prize pool. That is the highlight event of the series, but it is far from the only big one. Take, for example, the $500,000 buy-in Triton Million on Dec. 7, an invitational event through Triton Poker.

The warm weather poker festival begins Dec. 6 with the $2,500 WSOP Mini Main Event, a $5 million guaranteed tournament. It concludes Dec. 18 with the $5,000 The Closer - NLH Bounty Turbo. There is one other tournament scheduled for the last day of the bracelet series — Super Saver 1M Invitational ($1 million guaranteed), open to bracelet holders who enter the Super Main Event.

Rosa Bets in the Final Second

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With around 62,000 in the pot and the board reading 4K2KQ, Gabi Livshitz checked as the first to act. Giuseppe Rosa took his time, going deep into the tank, causing another player to call the clock.

As the floorman began the countdown, Rosa, with just a second left, made a bet of 15,000. That was enough to prompt Livshitz to fold, allowing Rosa to scoop a nice pot.

Zukowicz Doubles Off Winkler With the Same Hand

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Monika Zukowicz raised to 2,500 under the gun and Andre Winkler three-bet to 12,000 in the big blind. Zukowicz moved all in for 44,700 and Winkler quickly called.

Monika Zukowicz: AK All in
Andre Winkler: AK

Both players showed ace-king and were poised for a chop, but the 86J flop left Zukowicz freerolling to a flush. She completed the flush on the Q turn as the 7 river sealed her double up.

Kristen Foxen was recently eliminated on another table.

Tafur Doubles Through Teusl

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Baktasch Safi opened to 2,400 from under the gun and received calls from Jessica Teusl in early position and Daniel Tafur in the small blind.

The flop came 1076 and action checked around to Teusl who bet 6,500. Tafur snap-called while Safi opted to fold.

On the 5 river Tafur checked once more and Teusl moved all in, covering Tafur who had 28,800 behind. Tafur snap-called for a second time and was at risk.

Daniel Tafur: 98 All in
Jessica Teusl: 66

Teusl had flopped a set but needed the board to pair to overcome Tafur's flopped straight. The Q river changed nothing for either player and Tafur doubled up through Teusl.

Teusl Gets the Best Hand to Fold

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jessica Teusl opened to 2,500 from the hijack and Daniel Tafur defended from the big blind.

The flop came AJ2 and Tafur check-called a 2,500 continuation-bet from Teusl.

Teusl sized up with a 12,500 bet when checked to on the Q turn. Tafur commented that he should have shoved preflop before folding 99 face up.

Teusl showed 33 for a smaller pair turned into a bluff before taking the pot.

Zormati Bets Big on the Turn, Folds to Kenjic's Shove

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

There were already around 35,000 chips in the middle on a board of 10472 when Vladimer Gigolashvili checked, and Mohammad Zormati fired a big bet of 30,500. Jovan Kenjic then shoved for 63,700, which got Gigolashvili to fold. Zormati had just over 100,000 remaining in his stack and was getting a good price, but after a long tank, he made the fold.
