Martin Kabrhel was in the cutoff and asked De Han Kim and Albert Gil in the blinds how many chips they had behind. Gil didn't respond and Kabrhel asked a tournament official to make Gil stack up his chips in towers of 20. He then moved all in and both players folded.
"Live straddle," Kabrhel said a few hands later as he raised to 60,000. Everyone folded and he took down the pot. Tiberiu Tirca then limped in from the small blind, Kabrhel raised to 75,000, and Tirca called.
The flop came 9♣4♦4♥ and Kabrhel bet 80,000. Tirca quickly folded and Kabrhel took down another pot to climb past 1,000,000.
Tigran Harutyunyan shoved for 300,000 from the cutoff and Catalin Diac reshoved from the small blind with the covering stack.
Tigran Harutyunyan: K♣9♣
Catalin Diac: A♦J♣
Harutyunyan fell further behind on the 6♦5♠J♦ flop as Diac paired his jack, but he did pick up a gutshot straight draw on the Q♠ turn. However, the 6♣ river was no help, which meant Harutyunyan was out in eighteenth.
Diac, who was staring elimination in the face just a few hands ago, now has close to a million.
Martin Kabrhel raised to 50,000 under the gun and Bogdan Roman moved all in for 430,000 in the hijack.
After Kabrhel raised, he got up from his seat to watch Catalin Diac's all in on the other table. Ron Jeda then pointed out to a tournament official that Kabrhel shouldn't be allowed to leave the table with a hand in progress.
"I got up to do exercise. Nothing happened. Let's play," Kabrhel said. "You said that? I bust you next," Kabrhel said to Jeda. He quickly folded.
The next hand, Tiberiu Tirca limped in from the small blind, Kabrhel raised to 60,000, and Tirca called.
Kabrhel continued for 40,000 on the Q♥9♣5♠ flop and Tirca raised to 130,000. Kabrhel snap-folded once more.
Ran Shahar made it 50,000 from under the gun and Catalin Diac shoved in the hijack for 125,000. Jacob Amsellem then four-bet to 200,000 in the cutoff, and when the action got back to Shahar, he called.
Both active players checked the J♦4♠4♣ flop and Shahar fired 100,000 on the 3♦ turn. Amsellem called.
When the 6♠ hit the river, Shahar fired 155,000, and Amsellem snap-folded.
Shahar showed Q♦9♦ for just queen-high, but still won the side pot. Diac flipped 6♥6♣ for a rivered flush to scoop the main pot and give himself a lifeline.
