Duta’s Full House Sends Sklenicka Packing

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Florian Duta initiated the action with a raise to 40,000 from middle position, prompting a call from Vivian Saliba. However, the real drama unfolded when Michael Sklenicka pushed all-in for 340,000. Duta didn’t hesitate and quickly called, while Saliba swiftly folded her hand, leaving the two players to face off in a showdown.

Sklenicka revealed JJ, hoping for a jack to improve his situation, while Duta showed KK. As the dealer fanned the flop, the cards revealed 6K6, giving Duta a powerful full house. Sklenicka’s hopes dwindled, and despite calling for a jack, the Q on the turn and the 10 on the river did nothing to help his cause. With no winning hand in sight, Sklenicka was eliminated from the tournament.

Klein Doubles Up Without a Showdown

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

With around 250,000 in the pot and the board showing A54105, David Klein pushed all in, putting Eusebiu Jalba to the test. Jalba hesitated, taking a long time to consider his options. He asked the dealer for a chip count, clearly weighing his decision.

After weighing his options, Jalba ultimately decided to fold, which enabled Klein to claim the pot and double his stack with his all-in bet of 230,000.

Tatavarti Triples Up But Has to Wait For Full Payment, Speranzoni Busts

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Alberto Speranzoni
Alberto Speranzoni

Gary Tatavarti was already all in for his stack of 330,000 and both Stefan Frei & Alberto Speranzoni had committed their stacks to the pot, with Frei looking for a double knockout.

Alberto Speranzoni: AK All in
Gary Tatavarti: 105 All in
Stefan Frei: AK

Speranzoni had the slightly smaller stack of around 300,000 but shared the same hand as Frei, which put Tatavarti in a good position to triple up.

The runout of 5J768 did give Tatavarti a pair of fives to scoop the pot, which sent Speranzoni to the rail in the process.

After the chips were counted out, Tatavarti realized he was missing around 100,000 chips and play had to be paused while the floor got to the bottom of where the missing chips were. Andreas Krause was discussing with the floor about the situation and angrily walked away from the table at the end of it.

"I think he is forfeiting his chips," joked Tatavarti.

Eventually, the floor returned and said that the missing 100,000 was currently in Frei's stack, and he was forced to cough up the chips and send them across the table to Tatavarti.
