Elia Salerno
Elia Salerno

Carlos Spoddig moved all in for 55,000 under the gun, and Elia Salerno raised to 80,000 from the next seat. Action folded to Enrico Campanile in the big blind, who called.

On the 543 flop, Campanile check-called in the face of a bet of 35,000 from Salerno.

The 9 hit on the turn, and Campanile check-folded facing a double-barrel of 125,000 from Salerno.

Carlos Spoddig: Q9 All in
Elia Salerno: 74

Spoddig had turned top pair, but Salerno had outs to the straight and two pairs. The 6 hit on the river and sent Salerno the pot, who celebrated with a "Wohoo" as he claimed another bounty.

Fragale began shouting out to his Italian rail as he awaited the flop, which came A106 to give him top pair and the lead. The turn was the K, while the 9 fell on the river and Kortas tossed over his bounty.

"€25,000, please," Fragale, who already pulled the €75,000 top prize today, said as he held it up.

Loeser and Gude Survive in Showdown

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Manig Loeser was all-in once again from the big blind and awaited his fate while Mauricio Salazar Sanchez and Elia Salerno played for a small side pot. The two active players checked down the K5J10A river and Loeser showed the Q9 for broadway.

Salerno had A7 for top pair, while Salazar Sanchez won the side pot with the K5 for two pair.

Two hands later, the flop showed J73 and Salerno bet 35,000. Matthias Gude on the button raised to 100,000 and then called all-in when Salerno reraised to 210,000.

Matthias Gude: KJ All in
Elia Salerno: 109

The gutshot for Salerno bricked on the 3 turn and 6 river.

Two Eights Worth €40,000 For Neagoe

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Darius Neagoe
Darius Neagoe

Darius Neagoe raised to 50,000 in the cutoff and was called by Eloy Dominguez and Urmo Velvelt in the blinds.

The flop came 633 and Neagoe bet 80,000. Dominguez called, while Velvelt raised to 275,000. Neagoe then moved all in, Dominguez folded, while Velvelt called for 750,000.

Urmo Velvelt: K6 All in
Darius Neagoe: 88

Velvelt had flopped two pair, but he was behind Neagoe's eights and threes while the A turn and J river were no help, sending last year's Main Event runner-up to the rail.

Neagoe soon after used his new bounty chip and pulled the €40,000 prize, while Sebastian Kannler was seen exiting the tournament area after busting.

Schnitzler Finds Huge Hero Call in Epic Hand

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Rene Schnitzler
Rene Schnitzler

Rene Schnitzler opened to 50,000 from early position, and was met with a three-bet to 150,000 from tournament chip leader Georgios Tsouloftas on the button. Action folded back to Schnitzler, who called.

Schnitzler pulled his hoody right up over his face as the QQ10 flop was dealt, where he check-called versus a bet of 100,000 from Tsouloftas.

The same pattern followed on the A turn, this time in respect of a bet of 180,000 from Tsouloftas.

The 6 river completed the board, and Schnitzler checked once more. Tsouloftas didn't take long before moving all in with the covering stack, and Schnitzler went into the tank.

At this point he sat back in his chair, unzipped his hoody and removed it from his face, and contemplated the position.

He eyed his opponent and the board suspiciously, and after around another 45 seconds, flicked in a calling chip, but at the same time as looking away from the table and getting up out of his chair, almost as if he was expecting the worst.

Tsouloftas tabled K9 for air, and Schnitzler had to scan the board for a few seconds to confirm his K10 for two pair, queens and tens, was indeed good.

Tsouloftas couldn't believe it, and Schnitzler earned the applause of the watching crowd. "Amazing call," someone shouted, as Schnitzler blew out his cheeks, retook his seat, and raked in a monster pot.

Tsouloftas Desperately Wants Jaros' Bounty; Salerno Gets Revenge on Spoddig

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Georgios Tsouloftas
Georgios Tsouloftas

Georgios Tsouloftas raised to 50,000 in the cutoff before Patrik Jaros moved all in for 400,000 on the button. Tsouloftas sat back in his seat and stretched his arms up in the air before calling.

Patrik Jaros: AK All in
Georgios Tsouloftas: 54

Tsouloftas had called with just five-high but took the lead on the 852 flop. The turn 9 was no help to Jaros, while the 4 river improved Tsouloftas to two pair and sent Jaros to the rail.

At another table, Carlos Spoddig and Elia Salerno tangled in a big pot between the blinds as Salerno wound up all in for his last 950,000.

Elia Salerno: JJ All in
Carlos Spoddig: A9

The KJ10 flop gave Salerno a set, while Spoddig picked up a straight draw. The 8 fell on the turn, while the 10 river improved Salerno to a full house and earned him a double up.

Salerno told the table after the hand that Spoddig had busted him from a previous tournament this series. "This is karma," he said.

Loeser Survives With the Doyle

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Manig Loeser
Manig Loeser

Robert Previsic limped from under the gun as Manig Loeser was forced all-in for 25,000 with 15,000 set aside for the big blind ante. Entico Campanile then raised to 125,000 and Carlos Spoddig pushed all-in from the next seat. Previsic folded and Campanile went into the tank.

"Wow, wow, fuck ..." he initially said and then added "best hand I had all day".

Eventually, Campanile folded and exposed the AQ.

"That is good for me," Spoddig told him as he flashed the KQ.

"It's good for me also, I guess," Loeser said and then flipped over his cards one by one, not having looked at them prior: 103.

The table had a good chuckle when the flop came 1033 to give Loeser a full house, which held on the 4 turn and 5 river.

Nanos Survives in Unconventional Fashion

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Rene Schnitzler raised to 50,000 in middle position, Konstantinos Nanos moved all in for 480,000 in the hijack, and Schnitzler was already taking out his phone and filming the action as he stood up from his seat and called.

Konstantinos Nanos: AJ All in
Rene Schnitzler: AA

Nanos had run right into Schnitzler's aces and was at risk of elimination as the flop came 756. The turn was the 4, but the 3 river put a straight on the board and they chopped the pot.
