Finke, Velvelt Both Chasing a Flush

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Heads-up on a flop of 9J7, Urmo Velvelt bet 20,000 from early position, Jacob Finke moved all in for 186,000 in the small blind, and Veltvelt snap-called.

Jacob Finke: K8 All in
Urmo Velvelt: Q2

Both players were on flush draws, while Finke was ahead with his king. The 8 turn gave him a pair, while Finke improved to two pair on the K river to earn the double up.

Kovac Picks Up Kings to Double

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Michal Kovac moved all in for 105,000 on the button and Antonio Fragale called under the gun.

Michal Kovac: KK All in
Antonio Fragale: AJ

Kovac showed down two kings and was a favorite to double up as the flop brought J64, giving Fragale a pair. "One more," Fragale pleaded, but he missed the 7 turn and 6 river, and Kovac doubled up.

Flush over Flush for Sootla

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ranno Sootla
Ranno Sootla

Nicolas Perren moved all in for 100,000 from early position, and was looked up by Ranno Sootla.

Nicolas Perren: AK All in
Ranno Sootla: A10

Perren had Sootla dominated, but he was shaking his head after the 953 flop, Perren holding the second nut flush draw, but Sootla holding the ace of hearts.

Perren's intuition was correct, as the 8 hit on the turn to leave him drawing dead, the 3 river completing the board.

Ian Simpson leads the field into Day 2
Ian Simpson leads the field into Day 2

The final tournament week of the 2025 World Series of Poker Europe has officially commenced in Europe's largest poker arena at the King's Resort in Rozvadov. Twelve of the 15 gold bracelets have already been awarded and another three are up for grabs, one of which will be handed out this evening or perhaps in the early morning hours of tomorrow when Event #12: €1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Mystery Million is set to conclude.

At 2 p.m. local time, 104 players out of 693 entries will return to their seats to battle for €903,060 in cash and bounty prizes after making it to the money in their two starting days. Several big names can be found in the overnight top ten and 888poker ambassador Ian Simpson leads the way as the only player above 100 big blinds with 856,000 at his disposal.

Estonia's Urmo Velvelt follows behind with that 774,000 and Manig Loeser is only two big blinds behind with 756,000. Likewise, Mauricio Salazar Sanchez (751,000) and Georgios Tsouloftas (722,000) also have very healthy stacks for the hunt of the big bounty prizes throughout the day.

Several bracelet winners are still in contention outside of the top ten such as Darius Neagoe (461,000), Event #5: €1,350 Mini Main Event champion Yuhan Wang (362,000), Ranno Sootla (321,000), Christopher Campisano (178,000), Event #7: €550 No-Limit Hold'em Colossus winner Jose Gomez Casillas (123,000), Pawel Wojciechowski (118,000), as well as Fabio Peluso (110,000).

All players have locked up at least €1,715 for their efforts so far but they will aim for the €100,350 top prize that awaits for the eventual champion. That figure also includes a seat to the 2025 WSOP Europe €10,350 Main Event which will officially kick off the following day with its first flight. The top six players will all secure the seat as part of their cash prizes.

Besides the cash prizes, the Mystery Bounty prizes will play a big role throughout the day with €500 as lowest prize available. The top four bounties not only represent a big boost for the bankroll but also include the WSOPE Main Event seat as well with €75,000 as the largest bounty, worth more than second place in the tournament.

The final day recommences with blinds of 4,000-8,000 and a big blind ante of 8,000. With a level duration of 40 minutes each throughout to keep the action locked and loaded. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor to provide all of the action until a winner has been crowned here at King's Resort in Rozvadov.
