The action folded to Jan-Peter Jachtmann in the small blind, and he pushed for 1,535,000 - just shy of ten big blinds. Zdenek Zizka in the big blind looked him up and was ahead in the following showdown.
Jan-Peter Jachtmann: K♣6♣
Zdenek Zizka: K♠J♦
The dominated king found no help on the A♥Q♠9♠8♠10♦ board, which improved Zizka to Broadway and sent Jachtmann to the rail in fifth place.
Zdenek Zizka limped the 8♦5♦ from under the gun and Shaun Deeb jammed for 2,590,000 with the 7♠7♥. Sirzat Hissou was in the big blind with the A♦3♠ and a short stack behind, folded, as did Zizka.
One hand later, Luka Bojovic then jammed in the next hand for 820,000 and was called by Iago Savino in the cutoff. Hissou in the big blind opted to call with a near identical stack to Bojovic and Zizka folded the big blind. Some commotion ensued to verify which of the shorter stacks had more chips as the production team told the dealer Hissou had 5,000 chips behind while there were effectively two players at risk on the bubble.
More than five minutes passed before the showdown proceeded.
Luka Bojovic: A♥3♥
Sirzat Hissou: A♣Q♦
Iago Savino: 9♥9♠
The 9♦5♠3♠ flop vaulted Savino into a commanding lead with both shorter stacks in need of running cards. It was all over on the 6♣ turn to make the Q♥ river a formality. Since Hissou had 5,000 chips more, he secured the min-cash while Bojovic was eliminated on the bubble.
Iago Savino made it 320,000 to go with the A♥Q♣ and fellow big stack Zdenek Zizka called with the A♣K♣ in the cutoff. All other players folded.
The J♣10♥4♠ flop saw Savino continue for 375,000, and Zizka called as they headed to the 3♦ turn. Both checked this time and on the 5♦ river as well, awarding the pot to Zizka with ace-king high.
Ioannis Angelou Konstas opened to 300,000 with the A♥Q♥ from under the gun and Shaun Deeb called from the big blind with K♣10♦. The J♣7♣4♣ flop was checked to the 5♠ turn on which Deeb bet 225,000 and Angelou Konstas folded.
Zdenek Zizka in the small blind moved all in to apply pressure on Shaun Deeb in the big blind. Deeb went deep into the tank and eventually called off his last 1,005,000.
Shaun Deeb: A♣7♠
Zdenek Zizka: A♠2♦
The bubble still didn't burst on this one because Deeb, who was ahead the whole way, improved to a straight on 4♣6♦10♠8♠5♣ to keep the lead and double up.
With barely any flops in sight and several open shoves going through, the next player to get the chips in was Sirzat Hissou for the last 1,205,000, holding the J♥J♦. Jan-Peter Jachtmann was in the big blind and sigh-folded the 9♣6♥ as the tense bubble action rattled on.
Zdenek Zizka then limped the A♥9♥ from under the gun, and Jachtmann limped the small blind with the K♥2♦. Hissou checked the 9♣7♥ in the big blind. They all checked the A♠6♠6♦ flop, and the 4♥ came on the turn. Jachtmann bet 300,000 to get rid of Hissou, while Zizka called.
That led them to the 2♣ on the river, and Jachtmann gave up, knuckled the felt. Zizka bet 395,000, and Jachtmann gave it brief consideration before folding.
