Zizka Goes Two Rounds With Mao

Level 7 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Renji Mao and Zdenek Zizka played two pots in a short space of time, with both of them going the latter's way.

First, Zizka opened under the gun to 12,000 and Mao called in the big blind.

The flop read 3♣6♠10♣ and Mao check-called a bet of 8,000 from Zizka to see the 2♠ turn. Mao led out for 25,000, then Zizka raised to 72,000. Mao folded.

Shortly after, Mao raised the button to 12,000 and Zizka three-bet the small blind to 50,000. Mao called.

Both checked all the way to showdown on the 8♥A♦J♥K♣4♣ runout, where Zizka's Q♥Q♦ was good with a pair of queens.

Salih Atac raised to 15,000 from the cutoff and then called the 50,000 three-bet by Fahredin Mustafov in the big blind.

A bet of 30,000 on the flop was called when the dealer revealed the 2♥Q♥A♠.

They both checked through the 7♥ on the turn and the 4♥ on the river for Mustafov to claim the pot with the A♦9♣ for a pair of aces.

Hissou Gets Mao to Fold; Bojovic Hits a Set Against Lin

Level 6 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sirzat Hissou made it 11,000 to go in the cutoff and Renji Mao three-bet the button to 33,000. When it got back to Hissou. he called.

The flop came K♥6♠7♣ and Hissou check-called a bet of 28,000 from Mao to see the 3♣ turn, where both checked.

A 6♦ river saw Hissou bet 42,000, which got Mao to fold.

On the other table, Ren Lin was under the gun and playing a pot with Luka Bojovic, who was in the small blind.

The board read A♦9♦4♠7♥ and Lin had bet 50,000, which Bojovic called to the 2♥ river. Both checked it down, and Bojovic showed a set with 4♥4♣ to win the pot.

Emilien Pitavy raised to 11,000 from the hijack, Thomas Eychenne three-bet to 38,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Pitavy, who called.

The flop came 6♥J♠K♦, Pitavy check-called Eychenne's 28,000 continuation-bet.

The turn was the 2♥, Pitavy checked again. Eychenne flicked a 100,000-chip over the line for Pitavy to push his cards over the same line.

Sirzat Hissou raised to 10,000 from under the gun, and both Jessica Teusl and Alessio La Francesca called in the blinds.

They all checked through the 6♠4♦2♦ flop to the 3♣ on the turn. Teusl checked, but La Francesca bet 8,000. Both Hissou and Teusl called.

The river was the Q♣. Both Teusl and La Francesca checked for Hissou to respond with a bet of 24,000. Teusl considered but didn't call, nor did La Francesca.

"Ace-five of diamonds, huh? What a life!" Teusl commented for Hissou to smile. "Then I am happy no diamond arrived," she concluded.

They went to a flop of 10♠8♦K♠, where it checked to Zizka, who bet 32,000. Teusl folded, but Mao called to see the 6♥ fall on the turn. Another check came in from Mao, then he folded when Zizka bet 77,000.
