Level 8 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Alessio La Francesca
Alessio La Francesca

Sirzat Hissou raised from under the gun to 16,000 and Alessio La Francesca called from the big blind.

La Francesca check-called a bet of 20,000 from Hissou on the A59 flop and again for 70,000 on the J turn.

A 2 filled out the board and La Francesca checked for a third time. Hissou lined up a third and final bet of 140,000, which La Francesca absolutely snapped off.

Hissou tabled KQ for a bluff, and La Francesca took the pot with a pair of aces holding A8.

Hissou Hits River to Knock Out Mao and Breaks a Million

Level 7 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Renji Mao
Renji Mao

Alessio La Francesca raised to 12,000 from the cutoff, Sirzat Hissou called from the button. Renji Mao three-bet to 55,000 from the small blind for La Francesca to fold, but for Hissou to call.

The flop came 839, Mao check-called the 20,000 bet from Hissou.

The turn was the K, and Mao opted to check. Hissou fired a bet of 65,000 out for Mao to tank. He used a time bank and then shoved for 249,000. Hissou called almost immediately with the bigger stack.

Renji Mao: KQ All in
Sirzat Hissou: K4

They had both turned top pair, but Mao was ahead with the queen-kicker until the river completed the board with the 4 for Hissou to hit two pair.

Mao put his head down while the pot was being pushed Hissou's way and then got up from his chair to make his way out of the tournament area while the rest of the field had already gone for their break.

Sirzat Hissou

Zdenek Zizka opened the hijack to 12,000, and Jan-Peter Jachtmann called in the cutoff. Alessio La Francesca called in the small blind, as did Sirzat Hissou in the big blind.

The flop came 228, and when it got to Zizka, he bet 17,000. Jachtmann then made it 50,500, La Francesca folded, and Hissou announced 45,000. The dealer declared it a call and made Hissou put the chips in, which he did, and Zizka folded.

An A hit the turn, and Hissou checked, Jachtmann bet 110,000, and Hissou called to the 7 river. Both decided to check it down, and Hissou showed 52 for trips at showdown. Jachtmann flashed A3 for a pair of aces as he mucked.
