Metaal Cracks Gomez Casillas' Aces
Level 11
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
There were already around 100,000 in the middle on a board of 8♠9♥10♥3♥ when Govert Metaal bet 20,000 from the big blind and Jose Gomez Casillas raised to 82,500 from the hijack. Metaal then shoved around 150,000, and Gomez Casillas called.
Govert Metaal: 8♥8♦
Jose Gomez Casillas: A♥A♦
Metaal had flopped a set, but needed to fade aces and hearts on the river as Gomez Casillas had the nut flush draw. The 2♠ river was clean for Metaal, and he doubled up.
