Patrik Jaros has had a great start to Day 2 and is up around 200,000 from his starting stack.
In the latest hand that went the way of Jaros, the full board of J♦2♣3♠9♠Q♦ was showing with around 35,000 in the pot.
Jaros checked the hijack and Urmo Velvelt bet 25,000 from the cutoff. After thinking long and hard, Jaros stuck in the call.
"Good call," said Velvelt as he rolled over A♦8♦ for just ace-high. Jaros showed his pair of tens holding 10♥10♣ and raked in the pot himself rather than waiting for the dealer to push it toward him.
"These guys three-bet me with s**t, I'm so lucky," said Jaros.
Leonhard Beulthauser moved all in for around 40,000 from the big blind and was up against Rene Majed in the cutoff.
Leonhard Beulthauser: 5♦5♥
Rene Majed: A♦K♥
The flop came A♥J♦9♣ to give Majed the lead with top pair, while the rest of the board ran out Q♥2♣ and Beulthauser was sent to the rail.
Benedikt Zeyher raised to 3,200 in early position and Roman Krahula three-bet to 10,700 in middle position. Felix Seelentag then four-bet to 27,000 in the cutoff, and only Krahula called.
The flop came Q♠J♥6♠ and Seelentag continued for 15,000. Krahula called and the 6♦ fell on the turn.
Seelentag then bet another 15,000, and Krahula again called. The river was the A♥ and Seelentag bet 44,000. "Queens?" Krahula asked as he tossed in a chip to signify a call.
Seelentag indeed turned over Q♣Q♥ for a full house, and Krahula flashed A♣K♣ as he mucked.
Zewei Ding opened to 3,200 from middle position, and received a call from Alkiviadis Stamatis in the hijack, before Elia Salerno produced a three-bet to 17,000 from the small blind. Both of his opponents called.
On the 6♥4♥4♠ flop, Salerno continued with a bet of 13,000, and only Stamatis called.
The 7♠ turn was checked, after a good two minutes of thought from both players, to the 8♥ river.
Salerno check-called a bet of 12,000 from Stamatis, after a great deal more time for contemplation from the protagonists, and mucked when Stamatis tabled 9♠9♦ for two pair, nines and fours.
Gerald Karlic raised to 3,600 in the hijack before Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz three-bet to 10,600 in the cutoff. Hans Bergmann called in the small blind, as did Karlic.
The flop came A♥7♠K♦ and Wyrzykiewicz bet 8,500. Only Bergmann called to see the 6♥ turn.
Wyrzykiewicz then bet 24,800, and Bergmann this time took a minute but eventually decided to fold.
Bastian Gallitzendoerfer raised to 3,500 in middle position and Michail Manolakis called in the cutoff. Tim van de Riet then three-bet to 18,000 in the big blind, and only Gallitzendoerfer called.
Van de Riet checked the 8♠7♠6♣ flop and Gallitzendoerfer bet 30,000. Van de Riet then moved all in for 130,000, and Gallitzendoerfer snap-called.
Tim van de Riet: Q♠Q♦
Bastian Gallitzendoerfer: 5♦4♦
Van de Riet showed two queens, but Gallitzendoerfer had flopped a straight. The 2♠ turn gave Van de Riet some hope with a flush draw, but he missed the 9♥ river and was sent to the rail.
Scott Reynolds was raking in a double-up of his 37,000 stack, after his K♠J♦ pipped Tomislav Topcic's Q♣J♣ on the 5♠4♠3♥J♣3♣ runout.
A pot of 8,400 had developed on a flop of 8♠6♦3♠, in a hand between Leonhard Beutlhauser in early position and Alberto Speranzoni in the big blind.
Speranzoni led out with a bet of 10,000, and was met with a raise to 30,000 from his opponent.
Speranzoni made the call to see the 10♣ turn, which was checked to the 2♣ river, which was also checked down.
Speranzoni tabled 6♠5♠ for a pair of sixes, and that was good enough to force Beutlhauser to muck.
Szabolcs Kukucska opened to 3,200 from the cutoff, and received a call from Mario Llapi in the small blind.
On the K♠Q♥J♥ flop, Llapi check-called versus a bet of 2,000 from Kukucska.
The 10♦ hit on the turn, and Llapi quickly check-folded in the face of a double-barrel of 8,000 from Kukucska.
