Dennis Schaefer Eliminated in 7th Place (€18,900)

Level 32 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Dennis Schaefer
Dennis Schaefer

Mariusz Klabisch opened to 345,000 from the button, and Dennis Schaefer three-bet jammed from the big blind for around 2,250,000. Klabisch, who covered Schaefer, didn't even ask for a count before announcing call,

Mariusz Klabisch: 99

It was off to the races, but the jack was in the window on the J64 flop, Klabisch throwing his hands up in disgust.

Klabisch was now down to a two-outer, and the 4 turn was a brick.

Klabisch started shouting for the nine on the river, and in unbelievable fashion, the 9 hit on the river to send Schaefer to the rail.

Klabisch celebrated wildly, while Schaefer looked shell-shocked as he headed to the payout desk, a brutal beat.

Paul Covaciu shoved 425,000 from the hijack and Mariusz Klabisch considering for a few moments in the big blind before he reluctantly made the call.

Mariusz Klabisch: K2

"Two. I need a two!" shouted Klabisch.

A two is exactly what he got as the 2A10 flop paired his deuce and gave him the lead. Covaciu did find a few chop outs on the 10 turn, but the 4 river bricked out, sending him to the rail in eighth.

Michal Schuh opened to 250,000 from the hijack, and Asaf Adato defended the big blind.

On the 952 flop, Adato check-called a bet of 225,000 from Schuh.

The 7 hit on the turn, and the same pattern followed, this time in respect of a bet of 550,000 from the Czech.

The 7 river was checked through, and Schuh mucked when Adato tabled Q9 for two pair, nines and sevens.

Lightning Strikes Twice as Adato Doubles Through Schaefer Again

Level 31 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Dennis Schaefer
Dennis Schaefer

Dennis Schaefer opened to 250,000 from middle position and Asaf Adato three-bet to an even 1,000,000 from the hijack, leaving 600,000 behind. When it got back to Schaefer, he shoved, and Adato rechecked his cards before calling off the rest of his stack.

Asaf Adato: AA All in
Dennis Schaefer: AQ

Adato had the goods and just needed to fade the runout in order to double up. However, that was easier said than done as the K2J flop gave Schaefer a Broadway draw. Luckily for Adato, no tens were in sight on the 25 turn and river, which meant he doubled up.
