Klabisch Didn't Know If He Was Bluffing

Level 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Mariusz Klabisch

Dorian Melchers opened from middle position and Mariusz Klabisch called in the big blind.

On the 854 flop, Klabisch check-called a bet of 140,000 from Melchers to the A turn, where again he check-called for 300,000.

When the 5 hit the river, Klabisch led for 300,000, which sent Melchers into the tank. Three time banks later, Melchers called.

Klabisch then revealed a pair of tens with 1010, and that was good for the pot as Melchers mucked.

"I thought you were bluffing," said Melchers.

"He doesn't even know if he was," joked another player at the table.

"I don't even know," replied Klabisch.

Big Stacks Collide as Schaefer Bluff-Catches

Level 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Dennis Schaefer
Dennis Schaefer

Start of day chip leader Asaf Adato opened to 80,000 from middle position, and Dennis Schaefer, second in the standings, defended the big blind.

On the KQ2 flop, Schaefer check-called a bet of 55,000 from Adato.

The 8 turn followed the same pattern, this time in respect of a bet of 105,000 from Adato.

The Q river paired the board, and Schaefer checked once more. Adato slid out a bet of 300,000, and Schaefer burned through two time banks before calling.

He was pleased to see his KJ for two pair, kings and queens, was good versus Adato's AJ.

In the first hand dealt, Sorel Mizzi shoved for 435,000 from under the gun and Michal Schuh reshoved from the small blind.

Michal Schuh: AK

Mizzi was dominated, but did have a few backdoor possibilities on the 386 flop. The 6 turn shut that backdoor, but opened up a few chop outs for Mizzi to survive.

Instead, the K rolled off on the river, which ended Mizzi's run in 16th.
