Stepan Budac is continuing to gain chips with an aggressive style.
Tudor Zapsa opened the button to 625,000 and Budac three-bet to 1,525,000 from the small blind. Robert Dascalescu was in the big blind with around 1,700,000 and used a time bank before he folded, and Zapsa's cards also found themselves in the muck.
Budac took down a few hands uncontested before that, and is now into the eight-figure territory.
Heger Sare raised to 500,000 on the button as Jan Kohl turned around to see what was happening on the other table before committing his last 715,000 in the small blind. Sare called.
Jan Kohl: Q♥10♠
Heger Sare: A♦5♣
The flop came J♣8♥4♠, while the 9♣ turn gave Kohl the nut straight. The 4♦ completed the board on the river and Kohl doubled up.
The next hand, Robert Dascalescu raised to 625,000 under the gun, Kohl again shoved for 1,930,000, and Dascalescu snap-called.
Jan Kohl: A♥A♣
Robert Dascalescu: A♦Q♠
Dascalescu shook his head when Kohl turned over his two aces. The last one in the deck fell on the A♠5♠4♦ flop, while Kohl improved to a full house on the 4♥ turn. The 10♣ river secured him yet another double up.
Tudor Zapsa opened from under the gun to 500,000 and Jan Kohl defended the big blind.
On the 7♦10♠Q♥ flop, Kohl check-called a bet of 325,000 from Zapsa to the 7♣ turn, where both checked.
A 6♥ dropped on the river and after Kohl checked, Zapsa reached for chips and threw in a bet of 1,000,000. With only two time banks remaining, Kohl used one before he called and revealed 10♣9♦ for a pair of tens.
Zapsa then showed he had that beat with a pair of kings holding K♦Q♣, which earned him the pot and left Kohl with just three big blinds.
Stepan Budac raised to 500,000 in the small blind before Robert Dascalescu slid forward a tower of white 100,000 chips, announcing all in from the big blind. Budac quickly folded.
The next hand, Dascalescu raised to 525,000 in the small blind and Heger Sare called in the big blind. Dascalescu continued for 575,000 on the 9♣6♣4♥ flop, and Sare folded.
Dascalescu opened again the next hand, making it 525,000 on the button, but this time Sare three-bet to 1,400,000 in the small blind. Dascalescu took a minute before folding.
Jan Kohl then limped in from the small blind, Tudor Zapsa shoved from the big blind, and Kohl folded.
Cheng Zhao opened to 600,000 on the button and Vagke Sagkinian shoved the big blind for 1,740,000. After thinking it over, Zhao called.
Vagke Sagkinian: A♦K♣
Cheng Zhao: K♠J♠
Sagkinian had the best of it with big slick, and he wasn't made to sweat much as the 7♦4♦2♣10♠7♥ runout was clean, which kept him alive on this 'mini bubble'.
Stepan Budac is really piling the pressure onto his tablemates.
He raised the cutoff to 400,000 and then called a three-bet of 1,200,000 from Jan Kohl, who was in the big blind.
The flop came 3♣J♣4♦ and after Kohl continued for 800,000, Budac just shipped his stack into the middle. Kohl had around 3,000,000 behind and needed to use some extra time before he eventually released.
A reminder that the next pay jump is worth a Main Event seat, as the top ten players will secure a ticket.
Heger Sare raised to 450,000 in the cutoff and Stepan Budac called in the big blind.
Sare continued for 405,000 on the A♦7♠10♥ flop and Budac called. The turn was the 5♥ and Sare bet 1,000,000. Budac folded this time and Sare took the pot.
Jan Kohl then raised to 400,000 under the gun and Sare called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 9♥7♦4♠ flop. Sare then led out for 350,000 on the 5♣ turn, and Kohl called. The river was the 9♦ and Sare bet another 600,000. Kohl folded.
Stepan Budac opened to 400,000 from the cutoff and Jan Kohl called in the big blind.
On the 7♠J♦A♣ flop, Kohl check-called a bet of 375,000 from Budac to the 5♣ turn, where this time he check-folded when Budac bet 750,000.
It wasn't all bad news for Kohl, though, as he limped in from the small blind in the next hand and went to a flopp of 10♦K♦Q♥ with Tudor Zapsa. Both checked to the 3♣ turn, and Kohl's small bet took it down.
