Rene Majed
Rene Majed

On a board of A86J, Simon Schnidrig bet 350,000 from under the gun and Rene Majed called from the button.

A Q completed the board and Schnidrig bet 550,000, which was almost half his stack. Majed mulled it over for a while, then jammed, covering Schnidrig and putting him to the test for the rest of his chips. Schnidrig quickly folded and relinquished the pot to Majed.

Roberto Manfredi
Roberto Manfredi

Yishay Bechor raised to 325,000 in the hijack before Bogdan Roman moved all in for 1,400,000 in the small blind. Roberto Manfredi also pushed forward his entire stack from the big blind and went to turn over his cards before it was pointed out that Bechor still had 25,000 remaining. Bechor took a peek at the tournament clock before tossing in his last chip.

Yishay Bechor: 55 All in
Bogdan Roman: 99 All in
Roberto Manfredi: KK

Manfredi had woken up with kings and improved to top set on the KJ2 flop. The 4 turn left both opponents drawing dead, while the 9 river gave Roman only a good story as he and Bechor headed to the rail.

Panagiotis Mavritsakis
Panagiotis Mavritsakis

Panagiotis Mavritsakis made it 125,000 from middle position with Jakub Sterba calling from the cutoff, Dimitrios Michailidis calling on the button, and Andrei Spataru defending his big blind.

When it got to Mavritsakis on the A105 flop, he bet 185,000 and was met by a raise to 450,000 from Streba. Michailidis and Spataru got out of the way before Mavritsakis jammed for 700,000. Streba made the call.

Panagiotis Mavritsakis: AK All in
Jakub Sterba: KQ

Mavritsakis had top pair, top kicker against the straight and flush draws of Sterba. The 8 turn was safe for Mavritsakis, but the 9 completed Sterba's flush.

Mavritsakis headed to the cashier's desk, and Sterba's stack moved up to two million. At a nearby table, Rene Majed was seen pulling in another huge pot after he eliminated Josef Gulas.

Patrick White
Patrick White

Pedro Schulz raised to 125,000 in early position before Roland Haddad moved all in for 495,000 in the hijack. Patrick White called in the small blind, while Schulz got out of the way.

Roland Haddad: 33 All in
Patrick White: AA

White pretended to reel in a fishing rod after turning over his two aces. The flop came 1074, while the A turn improved him to top set and left Haddad drawing dead. The J fell on the river and Haddad stopped to snap a photo of the board before heading for the exit.

Big Slick Helps Farcasanu Double Up

Level 25 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Alexandru Farcasanu
Alexandru Farcasanu

Alexandru Farcasanu raised to 200,000 from the small blind and Rene Majed three-bet jammed out of the big blind. The raise was for all of Farcasanu's stack, which amounted to roughly 925,000. Farcasanu made the call and the players went to a showdown.

Alexandru Farcasanu: AK All in
Rene Majed :A3

Farcasanu's big slick had Majed crushed, and he looked poised to score a huge double up.

Farcasanu stayed ahead through the A69 flop and 2 turn, meaning only a trey on the river would bust him. A clean 10 completed the board, and Farcasanu doubled through Majed.

Rene Majed
Rene Majed

Rene Majed and Francesco Zappala went heads-up to a flop of 863 when Zappala bet 135,000 from early position. Majed called in the big blind.

The turn was the 7, and Majed led out for 300,000. Zappala spent a few minutes in the tank before raising to 1,000,000, and Majed quickly moved all in. Zappala snap-folded.

Majed showed A9 as he took the pot.

"Wow. You're great, really. I'm committed to call, and you can do this," Zappala told him as he reached across the table to shake Majed's hand.

Kai Vater opened to 275,000 from middle position. He was called by Mo Xu in the hijack and by Emad Zarghami in the cutoff.

All three of them checked a flop of 6Q4, leading to the K turn, where both Vater and Xu checked again.

Zarghami bet 280,000, then Vater check-raised to 560,000. Xu folded while Zarghami went into the tank. He eventually three-bet to 1,280,000. Vater jammed, and Zarghami called, finding himself at risk for 1,970,000.

Kai Vater: AK All in

Brutal Bad Beat Sends Him Ott of Here

Level 25 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Andre Ott
Andre Ott

Andre Ott made it 160,000 under the gun, and Xiaohua Yang called from middle position. Hicham Aouraghe squeezed it to 500,000 from the hijack, and the action folded back around to Ott. Ott, who started the hand with just over two million, opted to four-bet to 1,160,000. Yang folded, and Aouraghe went into the tank.

After Aouraghe thought for quite some time, he five-bet ripped it with the covering stack. Ott instantly called.

Andre Ott: AA All in
Hicham Aouraghe: AQ

Upon seeing Ott's pocket aces, Aouraghe said, "I thought you had kings."

Just before the flop was dealt, Ott's neighbor said he had folded a queen, at which point the dealer burned a card and fanned a flop of QQ5 to give Aouraghe trip queens, and left Ott needing an ace or running clubs to survive.

The 4 turn left Ott had one out, which didn't come as the 9 completed the board. Ott headed to the rail in disgust, and Aouraghe said, "Finally, I get lucky."
