Pawel Wojciechowski raised to 200,000 in the cutoff, Yuhan Wang moved all in for 1,900,000 in the big blind, and Wojciechowski called.
Yuhan Wang: A♠10♦
Pawel Wojciechowski: A♦K♠
Wang was dominated and at risk as the flop came 6♠8♠J♦. The 6♦ turn left him a card from elimination, but he spiked the 10♥ on the river. "What the f**k!" he yelled out after earning the fortunate double up, leaving Wojciechowski nursing an extreme short stack.
At the same time at another table, Sebastian Kotowicz and Alkiviadis Stamatis had all their chips in the middle, with Kotowicz at risk for 2,700,000 in the small blind while Stamatis went for the knockout on the button.
Sebastian Kotowicz: A♣K♦
Alkiviadis Stamatis: 8♠8♦
It was a massive flip with more than 5,000,000 at stake, and Kotowicz took the lead on the J♥K♥A♠ flop with two pair. The turn was the 3♠, but Stamatis spiked the 8♣ on the river to make a set and send Kotowicz shaking his head on the way to the payout desk.
Alexandru Farcasanu was all in for 2,300,000 from the cutoff and up against Rene Majed on the button.
Alexandru Farcasanu: 10♣10♦
Rene Majed: J♣J♦
Majed had Farcasanu crushed with his jacks, and he improved to a full house as the board ran out 6♥8♥A♠A♦J♠ to send Farcasanu to the rail and boost his stack up past 10,000,000.
Having just doubled up in the previous hand and while still stacking up his newly acquired chips, Asish Ghosh made it 225,000 from middle position. The action folded all the way to Besnik Aruqi in the big blind, and he three-bet to 610,000. Ghosh immediately jammed for around 3,000,000, and Aruqi snapped him off.
Asish Ghosh: 10♣10♠
Besnik Aruqi: A♠A♣
Ghosh had jammed right into Aruqi's aces and looked likely to be headed to the exit, unless he could find a ten on the runout.
A 7♣8♠3♥ flop provided no help to Ghosh, and neither did the 4♦ turn. A 6♦ completed the board, and all of Ghosh's stack was absorbed into Aruqi's.
In a blind versus blind battle, Hicham Aouraghe bet 150,000 on a flop of Q♥6♥5♦ before Pedro Schulz raised to 450,000. Aouraghe then moved all in, and Schulz snap-called for 1,250,000.
Pedro Schulz: Q♣5♠
Hicham Aouraghe: 4♥3♥
Schulz had flopped two pair, while Aouraghe had flush and straight draws. The 7♠ turn gave him a straight, while the 8♥ fell on the river to also give him a flush as Schulz was sent to the rail.
"Thank you. I give you a gift later," Aouraghe said to the dealer after the hand.
Daniel Elhaiany raised to 240,000 in middle position before Alkiviadis Stamatis three-bet to 680,000 in the hijack. Luca Marchetti then moved all in for 2,055,000 from the small blind, and Elhaiany folded, but Stamatis called to put him at risk.
Luca Marchetti: Q♦Q♣
Alkiviadis Stamatis: A♥10♦
Marchetti was ahead with his queens and improved to a set on the K♣Q♥5♠ flop, while Stamatis was left looking to complete a straight draw. The turn was the 5♣, and Marchetti made a full house to leave Stamatis drawing dead, while the J♠ river arrived too late for Stamatis to avoid handing over the double.
Patrick White raised to 240,000 under the gun, Roman Isaienko moved all in for 1,430,000 in early position, and White called.
Roman Isaienko: A♠K♣
Patrick White: A♦10♦
Isaienko had White dominated as the flop came Q♦3♥9♣, but White picked up a flush draw on the 3♦ turn. Isaienko held on as the 8♣ came on the river, and White paid off the double up.
At another table, Salih Atac had shoved from the small blind and Pawel Wojciechowski committed his last 1,400,000 in the big blind.
Pawel Wojciechowski: A♠3♠
Salih Atac: K♦J♠
Wojciechowski remained ahead through the turn on a board of 10♣2♦9♥9♦, but Atac hit the J♣ on the river to make two pair and send Wojciechowski to the rail.
Daniel Elhaiany raised to 380,000 under the gun and Fabio Peluso tossed in his last 85,000 in the small blind. Dan Sfarlea then reshoved for 1,830,000 in the big blind, and Elhaiany called.
Fabio Peluso: K♦Q♥
Dan Sfarlea: 9♦9♥
Daniel Elhaiany: A♦K♣
The J♠10♣9♠ flop gave Peluso a straight, but Sfarlea improved to a full house on the J♦ turn. The river was the 6♥ and Sfarlea scooped the pot, doubling up off Elhaiany while sending Peluso to the rail.
"That's my life," Peluso said on his way to the payout desk.
Gal Naim raised to 325,000 under the gun and Hicham Aouraghe called in the big blind.
The flop came J♥7♥8♦ and Naim bet 275,000. Aouraghe then raised to 700,000 and Naim moved all in for 3,220,000. Aouraghe took a minute to confirm the amount before calling.
Gal Naim: K♦J♦
Hicham Aouraghe: J♠10♥
Both players had flopped top pair, but Naim was ahead with his king-kicker. The turn was the 7♣, while the 3♥ fell on the river to secure his double up as Aouraghe stormed away from the table.
At another table, Dan Sfarlea had opened to 330,000 in the hijack before Dimitrios Michailidis shoved from the small blind. Sfarlea called for 3,800,000.
Dan Sfarlea: A♣Q♥
Dimitrios Michailidis: 9♥9♦
Sfarlea took the lead on the A♠J♣2♠ flop with a pair of aces, then improved to two pair on the Q♣ turn. The river was the 3♥ and Sfarlea doubled up.
Dimitrios Michailidis moved all in for 1,200,000 in the cutoff and Luca Marchetti called on the button. Maciej Gut also called for his last 825,000 in the small blind.
Maciej Gut: A♠Q♠
Dimitrios Michailidis: A♣6♣
Luca Marchetti: 7♥7♦
Marchetti had a chance to bust both players, but the last two aces in the deck came on the A♦A♥J♣ flop to give Gut and Michailidis trips. The 6♠ turn improved Michailidis to a full house, and he scooped the pot after the 10♠ river to earn a double up and send Gut to the rail.
At another table, Gal Naim bet 550,000 from the button on a flop of 10♣8♣3♠ and Hicham Aouraghe called in the cutoff.
Both players checked the 6♠ turn before Aourage led out for 450,000 on the 2♥ river. Naim called and Aourage showed K♣Q♦, but Naim had J♦8♦ for a pair of eights to win the pot.
