Last year at King’s Resort, Simone Andrian took down the coveted 2024 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event bracelet and a career-best score of €1,300,000.
Andrian became the 15th player in history to win the WSOPE Main Event, triumphing over a field of 768 entrants. He ultimately defeated Urmo Velvelt in a gripping heads-up duel that lasted over three hours and saw the chip lead change hands multiple times.
“It’s amazing. By far the biggest score of my career. I couldn’t be more happy” he said following his victory. "I’ve been playing here a lot and to have that kind of score here feels special.”

On a single-raised three-way flop of 8♣5♣5♠, Anh Do checked from the small blind and Shaun Deeb bet 50,000. Zdenek Zizka called on the button and Anh Do in the small blind then used a time bank before he check-raised to 110,000 with 3,000 behind. Deeb reraised to 170,000 and Zizka likewise used a time bank before he folded, Do called all-in.
Anh Do: 8♦8♠6♥4♣
Shaun Deeb: K♣7♥5♥4♠
The 3♥ turn and A♥ river were a formality and Do doubled with his flopped full house.
"You had ace five?" Deeb asked Zizka, who nodded. "Yeah, I was trying to get you to fold ace five," Deeb added with a smirk.

The remaining 18 players are now on a 15-minute break.
Grzegorz Derkowski limped from the hijack, Dario Alioto completed in the small blind, and Patrik Jaros knuckled his option in the big blind.
The 9♠8♠3♥ flop was checked to the 2♠ turn, where Alioto led out with a bet of 15,000, and received a call from Jaros.
The A♦ river was checked through, and Jaros mucked when Alioto revealed J♥10♠8♦8♣ for a set of eights.

Heads-up on a flop of 3♠J♦A♦, Filip Lovric in the big blind and Kumaran Sarvendran in the cutoff raised each other and ended up moving all-in.
Filip Lovric: K♦K♠4♥2♦
Kumaran Sarvendran: A♣J♥10♥3♣
Sarvendran's two pair held on the Q♠ turn and the 9♣ river, so Sarvendran thought he doubled his 288,00-chip stack. However both stacks were counted and Lovric was slightly covered, so he was eliminated.

Shaun Deeb opened to 25,000 from under the gun. Renji Mao called from the hijack before Bouwe Claushuis in the small blind moved all-in for 38,000. Anh Do in the big blind called, as well as Deeb and Mao.
All three players checked a flop of 3♥10♥7♦ leading to the Q♦ turn where Deeb bet 160,000 to make everybody fold.
Bouwe Claushuis: A♣A♥J♦3♦
Shaun Deeb: K♣Q♣Q♠9♠
"I have outs," Claushuis while revealing his cards. The 6♠ however kept Deeb in the lead with his set of queens and Claushuis was eliminated.

On a flop of 8♦10♥5♣, Vadim Zakharyan and Konstantin Razinkov both committed their stacks, with Zakharyan having fewer chips than Razinkov and being the one at risk.
Vadim Zakharyan: 10♠8♥6♦4♠
Konstantin Razinkov: Q♥Q♠9♥7♣
Zakharyan held top two pair against the overpair and straight draw of Razinkov. Razinkov picked up a flush draw on the A♥ turn. The 10♦ river gave Zakharyan a full house, and he doubled up.
