The 2025 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) continues at King’s Resort in Rozvadov with the biggest buy-in of the series so far, Event #8: €5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha. Across two opening flights, the event drew a total of 200 four-card enthusiasts, with just 31 players advancing to Day 2.
Leading the field is Italian PLO veteran Dario Alioto, who bagged 1,407,000 on Day 1b. He is followed by Bulgaria’s Fahredin Mustafov with 1,000,000, while seven-time bracelet winner Shaun Deeb sits close behind in third with 931,000. Several others will also return with healthy stacks above half a million.

| 3 | Shaun Deeb | United States | 931,000 | 186 |
| 4 | Zdenek Zizka | Czechia | 836,000 | 167 |
| 5 | Puk Nabuurs | Netherlands | 541,000 | 108 |

| 10 | Dennis Weiss | Germany | 389,000 | 78 |
Also still in contention is defending champion Dennis Weiss, who bagged 389,000. Weiss won this event in 2024, defeating a 141-entry field to earn €159,897 and his first WSOP bracelet. He now has the chance to go back-to-back, and with a top-ten stack, the opportunity is very much within reach.
Other notables returning to the baize today include Zdenek Zizka (836,000), who finished runner-up in Event #4: €2,000 No-Limit Hold’em Monsterstack earlier this series. Also making it through are Anh Do (498,000), Konstantin Razinkov (422,000), Salih Atac (302,000), Renji Mao (230,000), two-time bracelet winner Robert Cowen (227,000), Eran Carmi (181,000), Patrik Jaros (53,000), and Italy’s Ermanno Di Nicola (24,000), who sits second from the bottom of the counts with just over five big blinds.
Play resumes at 2 p.m. local time with six minutes remaining in Level 13, where blinds are 3,000/5,000 with a big blind ante of 5,000. Levels will last 40 minutes, and the plan is to play down until a new champion is crowned later today. All remaining players are already in the money, with the official prize pool and payouts to be confirmed before the cards are dealt.
Stay tuned to PokerNews for live updates, chip counts, and all the action as the €5,000 PLO bracelet finds its winner.
